Street Fighter IV PC: Achievements, Higher Resolutions, New Shaders

I cant wait for this game on the PC since I don't own a console.

Your right, Capcom have started developing their games on PC first, therefore they will not be losing any money by releasing this game even if sells will be low.

Now I'm torn between PC and PS3 version.
Looks like I will have to wait and see how this version will turn out.

I dont see much difference while using the ink style in that pic. Maybe once its released we will see more, and maybe, be able to make a more fair comparisson. Meanwhile, Im happy with my PS3 CE right now.

I could not be happier! I have a Dreamcast arcade stick at home but it only works with the PC, and with the GfWL and achievements in there I am completely sold. Also, it's being released brand new at £17.99 on Amazon.co.uk -- crazy sauce!

PC games crash in price much faster than console games. Here in Sweden at least a PC game can be bought for about €10 after 6 months while 360 games never drop that low unless they are utter crap and won't sell at all. Crysis can be bought for €8 while Halo 3 costs €30

So I'm all for PC ^^ plus I've got a 1920x1200 PC monitor compared to my 720p TV

Just bought a gaming pc, also sold my ps3 ver of this game as I seem to only be playing the 360 ver anyway. I may sell the 360 ver as well and keep my fightpad as it works on the pc, if there are people playing it online. I never cared for pc gaming before I had one and have hardly touched my consoles since. Gaming pc + 52" 1080p tv + surround sound make my consoles seem very weak. I had deadspace for the 360 and got it free with my pc and it is amazing on high. The difference is huge, I also bought a plug in 360 controller for the pc. So far worth every penny.

if this comes out on steam i'll buy it in an instant. my arcade sticks work on my pc. also just to have two sets of sf4 achievements would be awsome.

I don't know about Devil May Cry 4, but the three games Capcom released on Steam in 2009 (Neopets Puzzle Adventure, Age of Booty, and Flock) include SecuROM. And two of them have a 5 machine activation limit. I don't want any of that when I'm already using Steam for DRM.

Is Capcom using SecuROM on their games? I don't think so. DMC4 had nothing but a cd check, I think. Anyway, so how does Dawn of War II work on Steam? Does it have the GFW Live Guide AND the Steam...thing/dashboard? Still confused about how all that GFWLive+Steam stuff works. Anyway, this is of course assuming SF IV comes out on Steam soon. But they are supposed to officially announce this on Friday anything right? Hopefully Steam is in the cards. I have all my other games on Steam.

Please, please, please, PLEASE come out on Steam...

Woot, once again capcom rewards us pc gamers for our patience.  That's Lost Planet, DMC4 and SF4 all being much better on pc, just Resi 5 to go :D

I'm kinda nervous about the Games for Windows Live thing. There's two ways this could turn out:

It could be completely unplayable (like in Viva Pinata) with lag ruining the game and Games for Windows Live MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SAVE.

OR

It could be totally awesome, and perhaps even feature cross-platform play with the 360.

I really hope it's the second one.

Is this a surprise? The PC versions of console games almost always look much better assuming you don't own a 5 year old PC.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II uses Steam for activation. That means that every single copy of the game uses both Steam and Games for Windows - Live. Plus, there are other Live-games like Grand Theft Auto IV that are sold through Steam.

Still no sign of SFIV coming to Steam though.

Even if it does go on Steam, it's going to use SecuROM with install limits. Capcom's been doing that with all their recent Steam releases, and it's totally stupid.

It'll require YET ANOTHER piece of PC hardware to play. This is no game for mouse/keyboard NOR a basic controller. Oh well, most PC users will be used to dropping $150+ for the ability to play one specific game.

This will be the last major fighting game to hit the PC for another 5 to 15 years because of the SUPER low sales. If they packaged it with a coupon for a good fighting stick for cheap, then it might break 100k.

@ myketuna : Yes. Dawn of War II was a very recent game that not only supported but required both GFWL and Steam.

@ Daimao : Your kind is JUST AS BAD as the console fanboys, if not worse. You PC Fundamentalists talk so much shit about how much better "your" platform is for having interchangeable parts and requiring cognitive ability to operate, then you hate console fanboys because of their ignorance with hardware. I am going to get the PC version just for the better presentation and if the online community is strong there then it will be the only version I play.

It will be pirated yes, but more people will buy it because playing a fighting game against the CPU is crap.

PC is also the most arcade stick friendly platform as so many work on PC along with many converters.

I can also see a lot of arcade players who don't own a console getting it on PC (pirated or otherwise) so they can finally have training mode and mess around with the console characters.

Daimao in some ways were just speaking the truth, me being a console and pc gamer I gotta agree with most of the guys on here. This will sell incredibly low compared to any of the other versions that are already avaliable and if Capcom were wanting to put this game on somewhere were they would gain alot of sales then put it on STEAM. After all STEAM's one of the reasons why PC gaming is so good.
