This Week's Video Game NASCAR Update

Hey, happy Friday. Take a gander at this week's version of Joey Logano's #20 GameStop Toyota, emblazoned with the smoldering eyes of Kratos. It doesn't matter how many video games I see plastered on how many stock cars, I'm never going to get used to it.

I have no specific evidence to support this theory but I would imagine God of War III is a lot closer to most NASCAR fans' hearts than BioShock was.
 
And since I've been been doing a poor job of chronicling Logano's progress through the NPD top 10 lately, let's play a little catch-up, shall we?

Man, there's something not right about that Mario Kart one. I think that concept is called "wrong."

You've been into racing "forever" yet you dont know that they stopped calling it the Winston cup since 2003? It's the Sprint Cup Series now, also Busch series is called Nationwide now. In case you're wondering the Craftsman truck series is now the Camping World Truck Series.  Just a little FYI.     damn, thats a lot of series.  BTW i havent followed any nascar or racing in years now.  But i dig the god of war car. The tradition is strong with the old names.  Why put quotes around forever suggesting that his statement is false?  Do you think he isn't telling the truth, were you taking the opportunity to educate those who know little about racing, or maybe something else?  
 
Maybe he was totally lying.  Maybe he is a she.  It's all possible, but I don't think your response was justified knowing what you know despite your not following NASCAR "in years now."  See, I can do it too.
 
Truth is, I knew what you meant, and you knew what he meant.  Why get all nitpicky?  Don't take my response the wrong way.

Regardless of what game (if any) I think should be featured on the front of that car, this article did make me realize something:
 
Where NASCAR used to be sponsored by cigarettes and beer, now it's cell phone carriers and insurance companies. Oh, how the world has changed

i know most nascar fans are just into it because everyone else is and therefore just a dumb redneck probably. but there is amazing technology in the sport, even in the way they broadcast it.  
going to a nascar race completely changed my perspective on the sport.

Obviously they should plaster Brad Shoemakers face all over the next one.. seeing as how he's the only one in the video games industry who gives two fucks about this shit.

not a big racing fan. Seeing as I live up north i just dont get much of it. I have to say at least the Mariokart ones connects slightly to racing. GOW and MW, just seem weird to me. I cant shake this image of Brutal Monster fights and drivers dodging the gore and rending along with large shells and bananas block there paths. Followed by a timed final lap where the racers have to outrun a nuclear explosion..........
