going by Jeff's twitter, he's not really enjoying the single player, but says the multiplayer is good, so im guessing it will get a 3.  It's probably a 3 game for non fans, and 4 for transformer fans, since a lot of the charm is it being like G1 "

Why would flying robots ever want to turn into a car?

Gobots had the misfortune of Hanna Barbara doing a low-budget cartoon instead of using the Japanese show.  In Japan Machine Robo (what Gobots were) was far more realized and had been around years before the Diaclone Car Robots (Transformers).  They were also cheaper and meant to be like Hot Wheels, not competing with complex toys that were larger and cost 4 times as much.
 
Machine Robo was very popular in Japan and other countries, and lasted well into the 90s.  It too got a resurgence and had new products and shows recently like Transformers.  I'm not going to say they are better than Transformers, history has proven otherwise, but they got a bad start here and were unfairly compared to higher priced toys that had the luxury of using ideas created by the Machine Robo designers.

I've been wondering about this game for a while. I hope its a good game.

I was very hesitant to get excited for this game as I have been burned before by transformers games, but this one is by far the BEST!
 
 This game is awesome! Multiplayer is very addictive. In fact I must play more now, hope I am still on the GBTNT friend list. For everyone else that wants to play feel free to add me.

That's right, I'm suggesting a THROWDOWN with the Ai, what of it chief?

Just finished the campaign and  it was pretty good,  I had alot of fun, the banter was excellent. the mechanics worked really well. Im still trying to figure out if this is because my standards have lowered since the last TF game, but honestly I dont think thats the case here.  I really  couldn't put it down. (unlike the last game I could only take in 1 hour spurts, and never bothered to finish the decep campaign).   
  
Its definitely a simple shooter, but the fanservice makes up for it in spades. and its pretty well balanced to boot.  I do miss the takedowns from the previous game, and in general there simply isn't enough trans-kata in any of the games, (movies included) . Overal it was a really enjoyable game that I can see myself returning   for the achievements because I love these characters so much.

Gobots suck

I would kill for a Thundercats action RPG. Apparently they're bringing it back, even after the gruesome death of the creator, and I'm sure there'll be a tie-in game. All's I'm's hoping's is it's not terrible.

P.S. - 2-4 season of Beast Wars still holds up :P and it's way better than the cartoon. I wish they had a good game too :D

Way back in a time commonly referred to as, "The 80's", as a young kid I had both Transformers and Gobot toys. The Gobots couldn't hold a candle to the awesomeness of both the hasbro transformer toys or the superior G1 cartoon series. Every Gobot toy I owned literally broke within the first week after I got them and the transformers still to this day work. I thought I had purged the memory of the horid Gobots cartoon from my memory until GB was torturous enough to link a YouTube vidoe of the intro. (full body shudder, then whispers,) "the horror, the horror"........

If this was a Beast Wars game I would totally get it.

Need to go soon, but I'll hang around for a few minutes to see some of the gameplay.
