Beta :
The beta is available through all versions of Medal of Honor. The stipulation, however, is that the invite is only valid if the beta is opened within 12 months of MOH's release.

So yeah, afraid im gonna buy that shitty game just to get a Beta key >_> not now though.

 what about you ?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

No.
#4 Posted by PhatSeeJay (3311 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Already have MOH and I still play it occasionally when I want some quick matches.
Guess I'm the only one who don't find it shitty.

Ugh... do I really have to?...

Any info on when the beta starts?

#6 Posted by JerichoBlyth (1044 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I had MOH and didn't even bother to take the Battlefield 3 beta card out of the box. Mainly because I was in such a rush to return the piece of shit.

#7 Posted by B0nd07 (1637 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

No.

I'm not going to buy a $30 - $40 game that I have little to no interest in just for a beta key that may or may not end up valid.

#8 Posted by NoCookiesForYou (654 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Thought about it, but NO. You'll have to be crazy or just desperate to buy yourself into beta.

#9 Posted by SomeJerk (2085 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I bought Borderlands GOTY when it was on a Steam sale, because it was a good deal, totally not because I want to fondle balls of steel.

Now, MoH.. us BF3 hungry types need confirmation ASAP about this. If I can buy a console version for cheaps, I'll do it. If I can buy a PC regular edition, for less, I'll do that. Anything that gets me out of the dull experience that is Black Ops PC.

There should be some other way to get beta access. Probably by preordering the game (PC)

Or maybe I will get access to beta through PSN Plus.

I will wait until then.

Not interested in Battlefield 3.

#12 Posted by Slaker117 (4831 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I bought Crackdown to get into the Halo 3 beta, so it's not like I'm above this, but no. It was stupid then and it's stupid now. Though I did end up really enjoying Crackdown.

#13 Posted by Jazz (2046 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

really tempted, but no.

#14 Edited by Seppli (7708 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Yes - and I bought it twice. Once for PS3 at release and once tomorrow (that's when it arrives in the mail at least) for PC - dirt cheap I might add. Don't worry - it's a brandnew shrinkwrapped Limited Edition including BF3 access - there's nothing but LEs on the market.

Why? Because the beta entry is platform exclusive. PS3 version for PS3 beta (beta access is an on disc feature) and PC version for PC beta. Yes - I'm a BF nut and no, I don't regret the purchase. I was well entertained by the MoH campaign and did enjoy about 30-40 hours of online multiplayer, which enjoyed for the most parts quite a lot. Looking forward to replaying the MoH campaign on PC and especially getting the full beta range on BF3.

About MoH being bad... it isn't. Who says otherwise wants it to be bad - badly.

#15 Posted by S0ndor (2708 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I already own it. It's not a bad game at all. I clocked about 30 hours worth of game time and had great fun while doing it. You also get lots of extra goodies through the EA gun club.

I'll wait until the game comes out.

#17 Posted by big_jon (5105 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

#18 Posted by Donos (1188 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I was kind of interested in the game either way and it's only $16. Still kind of uncertain though, because I'd rather play the finished product.

#21 Edited by Donos (1188 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Come to think of it, if you can find MoH for $20 or less, I think that would be worth buying reardless of the beta. The campaign did some interesting things with tone and storytelling that are worth seeing, if not paying the full $70.

#22 Posted by lead_farmer (998 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Already got it, so this is kinda like bandaging the wound.

i live in israel and the cheapest i could find is 45 bucks... but fuck it, im going for it.
im gonna do it if the game is good, that is! which is to be decided in two days...
#24 Posted by big_jon (5105 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago
@Ahmad_Metallic: It's not great, it has some cool campaign parts though.
#25 Posted by ShaneDev (1696 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

If I see it in the shop and its cheap as chips then probably but I am not going to seek it out.

#26 Posted by Gargantuan (1809 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Nope, BF: Bad Company 2 is enough for me and Halo: Reach is my primary multiplayer FPS game.

   You're...you're crazy man.
Didn't they open up the BC2 beta eventually?
Beta or not, I'm getting this damn game.

BF Betas and Demos are usually quite legendary. Most beta/demo maps have become fan favorites. I put 200+ hours into the PS3 Beta of BF:BC 2. Really getting the most out of one map. It was superawesome. Then again... I was in the top10 crazy people playing the Beta waaay too much, at least in terms of kills.

Aaah yes! The BF2 demo sure bring back memories! Gulf of Oman was such a fun map. Must have put 40 or 50 hours into that bugger before the game shipped.
#33 Posted by fugie7 (1103 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I already have MOH, so I'll just wait until the beta is open to play it.

#34 Edited by UberExplodey (770 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago
@Seppli:  au contraire mon frere, I blow shit up reeeeeal good on a nightly basis with Bad Company 2 :) Already have my copy of BF3 preordered, and MOH didn't grab me in the beta like I had hoped it would...so I'm just gonna wait till release and keep my BFBC2 fix going.
#35 Posted by illmatic19 (932 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

If I see a limited edition copy for like $20 somewhere I'll get it.

#36 Posted by Jayross (2368 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Those are bad options, they will give out keys in other ways.

#37 Posted by natetodamax (18927 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Have you played Medal of Honor? It's not shitty.

#38 Posted by jmrwacko (2444 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I actually preordered MoH based on the belief that it would actually be a good game. God was I wrong. But if I get access to the BF3 beta, I'm okay with having wasted the money. And I think it's fair to give BF3 beta keys to MoH owners, since the people who preordered MoH were primarily big DICE fans.

#39 Posted by pornstorestiffi (4851 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

No why would i do that. I can live without being in a beta program.

i played the single player at a friend's, and the multiplayer beta

it stunk so bad i kept sneezing
#41 Posted by NoRemnants (304 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

They usually give beta keys away on steam when you preorder the game.

#42 Posted by evilrazer (466 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I already have MOH, but I thought that you need some kind of Limited edition to get beta key.

#43 Posted by OtakuGamer (1077 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Can't, i dont have MOH and never will.

#44 Posted by President_Barackbar (3152 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Nooo no. No no no no no. As much as I would like to be in a BF3 beta, I have no interest in MoH at all.

#45 Posted by Bucketdeth (7938 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

I only ever play beta's for like 10-20 minutes max and delete it, just for a taste of what is to come.

So no I will not be buying MOH just for the beta.

#46 Posted by Seppli (7708 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Nice! Just got my PC copy from my retailer and it was totally gratis. It's always nice to be rewarded for being a regular customer.

wait, are you saying your non-limited version of MOH doesnt have a beta key ?
#48 Posted by evilrazer (466 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago
@Ahmad_Metallic:
I don't know current state of the deal, but when I bought MOH - EA said that only Limited Edition owners will have a chance to obtain BF3 Beta Key. Maybe something has changed and I don't know that?
#49 Posted by TheDoorman (513 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

Battlefield beta, no......

Gears of War 3 beta........ HELL YEAH.

#50 Posted by MetalMoog (891 posts) - 2 years, 2 months ago

No amount of incentive could ever convince me to buy the trainwreck that is MoH.
