    is the M60 really that much better than the other MG's? I've been using the Type-88 while playing as medic for a while now.

    Not the least bit surprised to see the M60 ahead of all the other guns or the 1911 ahead of all the other pistols.  Hopefully DICE is looking at similar data and is considering some balances.

    Yes. With magnum ammo, it trumps most guns at medium-long range. I use the Type88 as well because I feel dirty about the M60. That, and I like the irons on the Type88

    @Pie:  why? most people will get a repair tool kill once for the achievement. On the other hand, unless you played the previous BF games or hear about it, you may not even know the defibrillator can kill people.

    M24 is unlocked from the beginning where as the M95 is the last to unlocck.....The M24 is a solid rifle to use....the M95 is good too but its rate of fire is so damn slow and it sucks that its not a one hit kill to the body in regular mode even with magnum ammo.

    Ohh... damn. I knew the M60 was stupidly popular, but this is amazing. Maybe DICE will deal with this weapon now. And to think I actually contributed to those kills, both by being the guy pulling the trigger and the guy receiving the bullets. And no real surprise about the M1911 either. Also, it's kinda cool to see this. I didn't think DICE would show statistics like this - to be honest I didn't think they would track statistics like this, to be honest.

    Yeah they really need to fix this M60 shit. I could care any less about the M1911; but the most kills I accounted for in any gun is the M60. I do feel a little dirty using it, but I need to spray mofos down and keep the enemies at bay with something.

    m60 no surprise! however I am surprised about the G3 being as high as it is... at least from my experience using it, seems very low powered. I hope they increase the F2000 damage, I'm going to suffer getting a platinum on that one lol.

    Isn t smth that everybody has access to? So use it..!!! 
    as Bam_D said its more effective when u do semi auto shots... (I only spray in close encounters) 
    Anyway I dont use it any more  cause I made it platinum so I dont get any stars from it...

    You remember this is Battlefield right? A class based game? If everyone used a single gun in a single class, the game wouldn't work. Besides, everyone running around with identical guns is incredibly boring. If I wanted that, I'd still be playing Section 8.

    @TheDoorman: the GOL is the best sniper, stat-wise. But it takes some guess work and getting used to the sights. I like the M24 personally. The SVU is also pretty nice in hardcore.

    @Donos: totaly agree with u thats why I think M60 is not a problem.... M60 is not handy  for every situation....  
    in small maps assaults and engis have more chanses against  M60 or in rush mode when attacking, its better to have good short range weapon... (e.x. recon with the motion stuff and VSS is a deadly combination)

    so according to those statistics, 4-shots to kill for both G3 and M60, the damage rating is negligible, since they both apparently take the same shots to kill.

    Don't know where you're getting your info, but it's wrong.  The G3 and M60 deal the same damage per shot.  On PC, it's 25 up close down to 20 after damage falloff, while on consoles they both deal about 1.25x that.

    The GOL is not the best sniper rifle, stats-wise.  If you're going by the in-game stat bars, they're nonsense.  It does less damage than the M24 (70 at range, compared to 75) and takes longer to work the bolt (1.8 seconds compared to 1.65).  On PC, its only real advantage is that it's the only bolt-action rifle with no scope sway, but on consoles all sniper rifles apparently have no scope sway, so I don't know what it's supposed to be good for there unless you really, really love its scope's crosshairs.

    i remember getting shot out of a chopper about 6 times by some spray happy m60 rambo
     
    For me the deadliest automatic is the scar. I kill loads of people with that thing.
     
    the find all five assault rifle is pretty good too. 1on1 you get way more bullets in

    The hell? The m60 still completely rapes up close, and has a massive clip compared to SMGs and ARs, when I used it it seemed really easy to kill engineers, just a few shots I think (Up close).
