Well it doesn't have the mystery that surrounded the first game but I wouldn't mind just revisiting Rapture. ( I still hate the being a Big Daddy concept) I think I'll just rent it.

Looks like it is a great game after all. I'm not too interested in the multiplayer, but I'm sure to be getting this for the single-player experience! And this time, I won't spoil the story for myself, thinking "I'll never play this game anyway" :P (yeah i did that for the first one)

Also, I'm pretty sure PS3 Magazine gave it 93 and PC gamer gave it 90.

This game had disappointment written all over it. Im glad to see that it exceeded most peoples expectations and turned out to be great.

This is what i expected out of the game, and unlike most I actually like the idea of progression style MP with this setting, this is an example of why people need to hold of on judgement of a game untill it actually been played and reviewed I mean the only real bad thing he had to say was that it didn't feel as uknown and 'new" as a setting which for me is to be expected with any direct sequel.  Even more glad I preordered it now.

That sounds like what I expected it to sound like. A good game, but nothing worth that terribly long wait.

The fact that there is multiplayer kinda ruins this for me. I just know that if I get it, I'll be playing through the single player with the thought "I should play some multiplayer" constantly in my head.

I love how it's "cool" to hate on Bioshock 2. Seriously? I'm beyond stoked and can't wait to get my hands on it. Guess that means I'm not cool. But that's what I get for not agreeing with EVERYTHING from the Bombcast.

I agree with Roboto, some people are definitely trying to shit all over it before it's even out. Considering the current Metacritic rating is currently 91 or something, I'd hold off on the negativity, guys.

Hmm, I've gone on record more times than a few as having serious doubts about this one, but these reviews are looking pretty promising. I still think the original didn't need following up (Not for artistic reasons, anyway) But hell, if it truly lives up to BS1 count me in. If I'm gonna be proved wrong, let me be proved wrong with underwater awsomity.

This review reinforced my belief that 2k did the right thing to release a sequel.

IGN should stop writing multi-paged reviews. Come on, you can share your opinions on the game in less than 3 pages.

I can not wait for Bioshock 2.

Even without ever seeing a review i was looking forward to it. Suppose i just thought that the first was incredible, so the second will surely follow in its tracks. We shall see i suppose.

You know, the only thing that 2 has over 1 is the entire sense of awe and surprise that you FIRST get when you enter Rapture. That can never really be recreated (unless they wipe our memories).

I'm actually quite surprised to see how many people aren't really excited for Bioshock 2. Granted like most if not all of you I don't think Bioshock 2 will suck me in the way the original did, but the one thing I have noticed about  Bioshock 2 is that it looks like it is going to be a lot more fun to play just because you are a Big Daddy now and can duel wield weapons and plasmids, not to mention that sweet, sweet giant arm drill.

On a side note though, for those who plan on picking this up Tuesday. Toys R' Us is offering a great deal with purchase of Bioshock 2. Pick up a copy at TRU and you'll get a two pack Big Sister and Little Sister pack (figures sell for $15 separately) and a $10 gift card as well. The figures will likely run out fast, but the gift card should be good until next Saturday.

I'm glad this game didn't get shitty reviews.  Perhaps I can hope that just *one* of the legion of idiots who wrote this game off ten months ago feels foolish.
