yeah the 08 is a different art style that they first had (Neopazz's avatar is the old art style). i stil cant tell which i like more but the new one will definatly give it a nice newer feel. 
 
so they really only have had less than a year with the new artstyle :/ looks nice tho.  ever since they changed the art style they definatly stopped showing the vehicles and the search for that one treasure (i forget what its called but it was what the game was supposed to be about but they havent talked about it at all..)

Definitely *looks* good. The one trepidation that I have is the quest types, so far all I've heard is "kill 20 skags" etc. I don't want MMO style quests. Also the lack of a good story, it just being context to kill stuff immediately made me not want the game as much.
