You play as the snowmobile leading up to the events in MW2.

I assumed they meant something open-worldy.

World of Nazi Zombies.

It costs a penny for each shot you fire.

Modern Warfare, but a 3rd person shooter instead of a 1st person shooter?

#9 Posted by CornontheCobbe (2643 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

I think it could possibly be a Modern Warfare RPG. Skills, character traits, special weapons. Sort of like Golden Sun, but with nukes, and AC-130's.

My dumb idea.

Of course...

Perhaps something similar to Far Cry 2 with the larger open world environment? I'm not sure, but I'd like to see more on it :)

#12 Posted by Kyreo (4594 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

Some stupid poorly constructed shooter that will only feed Activision's appetite for money.

@TurboMan: Nice pic by the way.  Is that why you wanted duders to 'Shop yer pic?  So you could get a new default?

#13 Posted by Seedofpower (3743 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

A ground breaking game that will redefine the genre.

#14 Posted by animateria (3250 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

Well, we can already say the developer is not going to have fun making this game.

Having fun gets you fired.

@CornontheCobbe: Golden Sun was so good
I think it'll be something like Modern Warfare 2, but different.

@Kyreo: What can I say? I'm a visionary.

@Kyreo: Not at all... but Grimp put me inside a TurboMan box and I believed it made the perfect profile picture for me
#19 Posted by Cadmus (290 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

I think it will be similar to that one KillZone game on the psp.
#20 Posted by Kyreo (4594 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago
@TurboMan: Yeah that pic is pree bitchin.  And... out of curiosity... You have seen the movie thats from right?  Because if you haven't then... *ramblesaboutinternet4chanstylemutilationtechniques*

you play a wartime journalist during the events of MW1 and MW2.

#23 Posted by Pie (6429 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

I can easily see this becoming nothing more than DS/PSP/WII game (not to say that a wii game wouldn't be interesting but..)

#24 Posted by DukeTogo (1505 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

Maybe something 3rd person, like Spec Ops, but with less linear structure.  Maybe a dumbed-down Arma game.

That would be interesting.... just they have to make it more intense..... Oh wait.... we have BF:BC for that..... Yeah CoD is screwed... damn....
#26 Posted by Pie (6429 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

Does activision have any third person shooter franchises?

#27 Posted by Kyreo (4594 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago
@EasyPeasey: Whoa.... Thats cool.  Like you dont have a gun but you dash through firefights and can negotiate stuff with both factions in an RPGish kinda way.

I'm liking this thread more and moar.
#28 Posted by TurboMan (5494 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago
@Kyreo: hah, yes... Jingle All The Way is the reason I choose the name "TurboMan"

It's that Lightning Bolt Action.

#31 Posted by CptChiken (1985 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

it will either be epicly shit... or epicly good

#32 Posted by MikkaQ (9716 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

It'll have Zelda style exploration and dungeons, while having God of War style fights, but exclusively with your small knife.

Probably going to be just 'okay'.

Nothing particularly good, but not terrible.

This is what I thought too. What's the over/under that the game will basically be a less-pulpy, more "realistic" version of The Saboteur?
#35 Posted by Belonpopo (1823 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

I don't know what it could be, I know what it is...stupid.

Really bad?

DOH OH OH OH OH OH OH

#37 Posted by Geno (6479 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

Clearly it will be a Super Mario Galaxy mod with CoD skins over the original character models.

I am guessing Mercenaries mixed with CoD mixed with a MMO type subscription.

Would an RTS Call of Duty ever work? Probably not :(

#47 Posted by SPACETURTLE (1622 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago
@WickedCobra03:
That would have been.... Just way to wrong.

But open world, hell yes!
#48 Posted by Romination (2730 posts) - 3 years, 2 months ago

It's probably a badly labeled 3rd person shooter.

Or some sort of Wolfenstein thing where you must shoot your way through a fort full of enemies.

The main premise: You pay Activision $60 for a mediocre game.
