Well in a time of big releases for the Xbox 360, mine decided to poo itself and die. So the last major game i played was Castle Crashers released on Xbox Live ages ago, back in August during the Summer of Arcade.

Castle Crashers is a cartoon beat 'em up from the makers of Alien Hominid (a super hard arcade style game) and Newsgrounds (a website for posting flash vids on). Using the same art style as Alien Hominid, the team made a quirky, 4 player co op game of princesses, knights, thieves and ... Sandwiches

The plots is the same as every single game made featuring a princess. Oh Noes! The princesses have been kidnapped! So off you to to rescue them. Button mashing is king in this game as hitting the X and Y buttons allow you to kill almost anything, whilst B lets you use power ups like bombs, bows and the sandwiches i mentioned (which make you become super strong for 12 seconds). Power up and combos are mainly used in boss battles to overcome specific problems. Weapons and Animal Orbs add to the tactics as each gives different bonuses.

The games is designed to be played by 4 people, preferably in the same room, so anyone trying to do singleplayer will find later levels nigh on impossible (thus revealing a flaw in Co Op). But the experience is classic one full of ''do you remember the...'' moments. Also the mass of characters on screen can become confusing, as the characters are easy to lose in the mass in a battle.

As well as the campaign mode, there is also an arena mode and a minigame called ''Quaff it All'' which is yet more button mashing

Castle Crashers is excellent value for money. It has a massive campaign, fun minigames and tons of replayability. Its achievements are also a mixture of easy and harder ones so expect to sink a long time into to Castle Crashers.

Note: Crashing Castles does not effect your no claims bonus: Castle Crashers on Xbox Live Arcade gets 85%

Castle Crashers is a fun beat'em up with nice humor. 0

I was a big Alien Homnid fan back in the Gamecube days.  So when I heard about Castle Crashers, I was pretty excited.  I originally played this game last with in a local multiplayer setting.  It's almost a different experience when you're playing with someone else.  You're not concerned about secrets or items or money.. it's just a stupid button masher.  So I was curious what it would be like in a single player setting, and it was very rewarding in some senses.  I liked the amounts of secrets y...

I'm crashing after Castle Crashing for so long......crashing 0

I've never bought an XBLA arcade game until Castle Crashers. To be honest I was never really interested in the Arcade at all until I found my friend slowly becoming a mindless zombie slave to Castle Crashers' rule over his brain. We usually like the same games so I decided I might as well give it a try. Wow, what a well crafted and brilliantly executed game. The Behemoth has produced a simple yet extremely addictive title that should not be missed by anyone who owns a 360. Castle Crashers is a  ...
