The first game developed by Atlus for the PS3/Xbox 360. Made by the Persona Team, The game is an "adult oriented" action-adventure/horror game with puzzle platforming stages.
Catherine 360 vs PS3 demo comparison
The 360 takes the back seat but it's still riding in the same car as the PS3, who enjoys eye-friendly anti-aliasing than the 360 who simply looks far too sharp - might as well not have any at all. Blu-Ray storage provides flawless cutscenes for the PS3 and once again - colour and contrast differences between the two. I personally favor the PS3 version - have a gander at the images in that blog.
Framerates on both are steady at both at 29.8XX FPS. Five-six days left until you 360 guys can get a shot at the demo, make a Japanese XBL account in preparation?
Those images look exactly the same to me. Good thing too, because I have a 360, the apparently inferior version. Also, I've already played the demo on my 360, you just need to have a Gold Japanese account.
Hmm...I can not wait until this game arrives in the United States whenever Atlus publishes it for the western audience.
I can see a difference when looking at those screenshots, but it's so small, I highly doubt it'll be the least bit noticeable when I'm actually playing the game.
Not that I will actually be playing the game. From the trailers and the demo, it doesn't look like a lot of fun. In fact, at this point I suspect the most enjoyable way to consume the game will be watching a playthrough on Youtube (perhaps even completely skipping the game part and just going straight for the cutscenes).
I see absolutely 0.000 % difference in any of those shots.
EDIT: After carefully looking the PS3 version has extremely slight jaggies on the environments, while the 360 version has extremely slight jaggies on the characters. No difference otherwise. Looks like both versions will be getting the equal game.
If there is a difference it's minor. Plus its not like its the kind of game where losing a few frames is going to ruin it. Its not like its bayonetta where the port is shit
Very minor differences that when the game is in motion you probably can't tell. Glad to see PS3 and 360 getting equal versions of this game.
Whaaa? The demo was released on the same day on both systems. I already have it and have played it on 360. Am I missing something?" Five-six days left until you 360 guys can get a shot at the demo, make a Japanese XBL account in preparation? "
" We're still doing screen shot comparisons in 2011? "In case games pull a Bayonetta.

" Based solely on box art I would say ps3. 360 owners have to deal with Katherine. Yuck. "I only have a ps3 so I'll have to get that version, but I do like the 360 boxart better. We should wrestle, since our opinions diverge!
I'm very happy about what that blog and what DigitalFoundry are up to, part of me thinks that publishers and devs are paying attention to it, and getting guilt-tripped real bad when they see what they've done. (Bayonetta PS3, and to some degree FF13 360).
And I must say again that GameBryo is a fine engine when used well, Bethesda need a right spanking for giving it such a terrible name.
" They look almost the same, goodness all around.I'll bring the baby oil!

Somehow I thought this would be the last game to get a console comparison. Maybe because most Atlus games aren't multi-platform. Anyway, from I can tell the 360 has ever so slightly better anti-aliasing on the characters but like everyone else says, it's practically irrelevant. Still, it's nice to know that both versions are more or less the same. Kinda surprised that the Atlus team have managed to do this actually now that I think about it. Regardless, I'm buying this one way or the other.
" @Cube said:True enough." I want this to be localized so bad. I don't care much for the gameplay, but I like the setting and the story looks crazy. C'mon Atlus! "Wouldn't it be weird for Vincent to appear in the English version of P3P yet for "his" game to not be released in English? "

I'm talking about marketing and publishing, not software development.
I think I'll stick to playing on the PS3 due to how I prefer the Dualshock 3's D-Pad over the 360's.
Colour definitely looks livelier and brighter on the PS3, but its not that much of a noticeable different.
And yeah, who actually cares when we've come off Persona 4. I didn't think about the graphics at ALL on that!!
Played the demo for both PS3 and 360 and saw absolutely no difference whatsoever.
I am struggling on what version to buy but it has nothing to do with visual quality. 98% of the time buy multi-platform games for my 360 but since E3 I have had some issues with MS business strategy. Right now I am leaning towards the PS3 version.
Anyone else struggling with the same decision?

@OllyOxenFree: Don't hear that too often. If the 360 controller was compatible with the PS3 I'd buy more multi-platform games for it.
You mean the D-Pad? Almost everybody agrees that the 360 D-Pad leaves something to be desired.
@OllyOxenFree: I'm not sure I understand the argument for the d-pad being shit on 360 since you don't even have to use it, I tried both versions and the thumbstick played just fine.
I played both demos, and I'm torn because I liked playing it with the PS3 controller better, but, I really like the 360 box art better. Ugh.the thing is when it comes to how the game get's so intense so fast, using the thumbstick becomes less and less accurate. But to each his own.
