Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryusai
Captain of the 1st division and leader of the Gotei 13. The oldest of the captains in all of Soul Society and founder of the Shinigami Academy over 2000 years ago. His zanpakuto is called Ryujin Jakka and his bankai is called Zanka no Tachi. He was the teacher of Shunsui Kyoraku and Jushirou Ukitake. His lieutenant in the 1st division is Chojiro Sasakibe.

Captain of the 3rd division in the Gotei 13. His smile presents anything but kindness, just as that of a fox. He was the former vice-captain of the 5th division under captain Sosuke Aizen. He has a close relationship with the vice-captain of the 10th division, Rangiku Matsumoto. His vice-captain in the 3rd division is Izuru Kira. He later betrays and defects the Soul Society and ascends to Hueco Mundo along with Sosuke Aizen and Kaname Tosen. His zanpakuto is called Shinsō (Killing Spear).

Captain of the 12th division in the Gotei 13. In the name of Science, this man is willing to go to unmentionable lengths. His zanpakuto is called Ashisogi Jizou and his Bankai is called Konjiki Ashisogi Jizou. He is the current chief/president of the department of research and development. His lieutenant in the 12th division is his artficially created daughter Nemu Kurotsuchi. He has a running gag of often changing his facial appearance.

Toshirou Hitsugaya

He is quite sensitive about his height and also doesn't tolerate those who don't address him properly as he worked very hard to achieve the status of captain.
