Let's discuss and decode the license plates on all of the various cars in Deadly Premonition.
KQB8NRP - This one kinda has me stumped. It's not so much that I don't understand what it's trying to convey. I just don't understand what the 8N portion of it is supposed to represent. That part somehow relates to the knight in chess, I believe, but I'm not sure how. This license plate is simply representing chess pieces. It's on Ushah's car.
ILUVMOV - I believe that this is on the Sheriff Department's SUV. It stands for I Love Movies, I believe.
SPYFCTN - Spy Fiction, a reference to another game. (I'm pretty sure that SWERY was involved in its creation. I've never played it.)

The License Plates of Deadly Premonition
" Don't forget VIDGAMES! "That's VIDGMES, I believe. :P

" KQB ate NRP i think. Meaning the first pieces take the other pieces. What about Georges numberplate? And what's Emily's numberplate? "Warning: End of Game Spoiler
Could 8N stands for '8 North'? In chess puzzles, I believe, you use north, south, east, and west to designate which direction you would move the pieces. So 8N would equal 8 spaces upwards. That's assuming that the license plate is supposed to be the solution to a chess puzzle (like the one on Ushah's computer).
As mentioned before, I assume the letter on Ushah's plate refers to the chess pieces. (K)ing, (Q)ueen, k(N)ight, (R)ook, (B)ishop, and (P)awn. The Knight can't be referenced with a K since it is already being used for the King. As for the number 8, I would assume that this is a reference to the fact that there are 8 spaces in a row on a chess board. Meaning, there are 8 Pawns and 8 other pieces behind them. Not sure if that's the reasoning or not, but it's the best I can come up with.

" @greaserlee said:now that definitely makes more sense!" york's sports car says YZ1DRFL. im guessing it's supposed to mean "wise one dr. phil ". "I think its supposed to mean " York Zach Wonderful" "
I took York for a spin around town, and here's what I've got for you:
The police cars say, "SPYFCTN", which I'm assuming is a reference to SWERY's last game, spyfiction.
Richard's is "SWERY65", I trust I don't have to explain that one.
Carol's is "IR8SNGR", obviously Irate Singer.
Lily's is "SPERMOM", which I'm hoping is for Super Mom and not Sperm Mom.
Nick's is "GR8COOK", great cook.
Fiona's is "CHIPS4U", Chips for you?
Harry's is "2D-AYAGN"
Kieth's is "IE6SALE"
Forrest Kaysen's is "RED2REE", Red Tree.
" I took York for a spin around town, and here's what I've got for you:That's pretty awesome. I laughed at Lilly's one though, before you said it could be Super Mom which I can now see, I honestly thought it said Sperm. At least it didn't have NOM after it....SPERM OM NOM. Oh the maturity...

Which car of Harry's were you looking at? I saw his limo at the A&G and it was PENANCE.

Ah that's right, I forgot about that one.
BTW, for the person who asked, ILUVMOV is Emily's.
Fiona's is also pretty funny, I hadn't seen that one before. It kind of requires you to do a lot of the sidequests and talk to them outside of work a bit to understand it though (and if you just watched the Endurance Runs they never really did any of that). There's actually a pretty crazy conversation with Ushah if you see him at the Milk Barn about his love for potato chips and how he always gets the smaller bag because it tastes better than the bigger one.
