So I was in the hotel and needed to speed up time, so I slept 6 hours and awoke at about 4 a.m. I got outside and the sky is red and the zombies are in the real world! But thats not the craziest part, so I get in my car to drive away and see if the effect will wear off and out of the sky a giant zombie dog falls on top of my car!! The thing is bigger than my car!! Running into the zombies kills them but running into this thing makes me bounce back. So I drive away and it starts chasing me. After about a minute of driving I thought I'd lost it until another falls out of the sky, and zombies are popping up like crazy out of the road. Finally I make it back to the hotel with 2% damage left to my car and when I go inside it all goes away. Damn that was fucking crazy, did this happen to anyone else? I hope either of the endurance runs find this thing it was crazy!! I think the trick is to come out when its raining really late.
Edit: Ok so somehow I was able to redo this and I took some pics. Not the best quality so sorry about that but here you go.

This sounds... Awesome!!!
Youre telling the truth right? I just got the game, but this is the kind of thing i was hoping to see in the game.
" This sounds... Awesome!!! Youre telling the truth right? I just got the game, but this is the sort of thing i was hoping to see in the game. "Dude yes, I wish I took pictures but I was only concentrating on getting away from it, you have to try and find it.
I didn't even try to get out of the car because I knew I would be killed instantly.
I've heard that they're easy to kill as long as you have something between you and them. For instance, you could park your car and get out, then run so that you're standing on the opposite side of your car in relation to them. Also, you can find a guide rail or something that allows you to put something in-between the two of you. And yeah, for anyone doubting, the gigantic dogs are for real. XD
Yeah, they're fairly easy to kill, they just take an ass load of bullets and don't give you any extra bonus for doing so. You'd figure they'd at least be worth a little more cash, but apparently not.
OH man, crazy demon dogs. I was gonna make a post about this because I just found these last night, but I'm glad you beat me to it because I wouldn't have been able to describe it well enough without screen caps. I was smoking outside the milk barn at a time where the "limit" was "00:00 to 00:00" so I thought "great, no limit so I guess I'll just smoke here and do some more side quests tomorrow." just like @crono11 , it kicked me out at midnight and dropped one of the dogs right next to me. Needless to say, I freaked out a bit. The outside areas have always been normal, not like this.
I thought maybe I had screwed up by waiting too long and had past the time for whatever I was supposed to do. I pulled out the DP booklet to see if it said anything about it,, and sure enough, it states it one tiny paragraph that the town is affected by the Other World from 12 AM to 6AM.
Who knew.
There's a part a bit later in the game when you are literally running around the town on foot during this time. It's part of the main storyline. It was pretty surreal, actually, one of my favorite moments so far. I didn't see the big dog when I did it then, so they may not either, unfortunately.

" @Bratcher_Lev said:And then it's promptly ruined by the Emily/Willie sequence. YOU CHASE THE DOG FOR 20 FUCKING MINUTES." Good times, found this out on the 2nd or 3rd in DP (before the community meeting), the first night where you have control on how long you can sleep. I went to sleep around 11 & woke up somewhere around 4am, didn't think too much about it & wanted to just go out to collect cards/fish & explore the town only to find that when I started driving. I keep wanting to see the reaction of the two teams in the ER to this so hopefully they will come across it soon but there's plenty of times in DP where you just hit the hotel & cut to the next morning.
For those mad enough to get out & drive in this maddening time of DP, go do a race, your car goes invunerable during the time so you can at least not worry about the beast or any zombies on the road.
