don't buy this DLC
it's 55 minutes long if you look for everything.
The King's armor is "RED STEEL" material not so good
Maric's sword is not very strong.
Duncan's sword and Keening's dagger are good.
No Duncan armor or Duncan's body.
Nothing special combat/enemies wise
barely any new dialogue
Did they release the title update alongside it? If so, did it fix the DLC achievement problems for those that got them at launch?
Edit: Just downloaded the title update and got the Stone Prisoner achievement I should have gotten at launch.
I don't know what everyone expects for those measly 3,49€. It's all about milking completionists (?) like me, but that's not exactly a secret.

but on another note I am 1000000% buying awakening
Damn XBLA (Aus). Return to Ostagar was up earlier today. Couldn't buy it, kept getting a service error, it said try again later. I tried again later and it was simply gone from the arcade. I have 420 spare points that can be spent and would use any reason to get back into Dragon Age for a second playthrough.

"I couldn't find it earlier on the marketplace, but I did find it on Xbox.com and downloaded it through there. You may be able to do the same.
I just checked XBL to download it while I slept and it doesn't appear to be there as of 3:30 AM EST. Did it get pulled or is going to Xbox.com the only way to download it so far?
Don't know why there's so much hate for Bioware DLC. I found the other two pretty damn good (though very expensive) and Bringing Down the Sky on Mass Effect was spectacular (though their next one was...craptastic, I believe is the word).
Sucks that they had an issue with it to begin with but good that they picked up on it quickly enough so it didn't screw absolutely all Dragon Age players

On the plus side the patch did finally give me credit for the DLC achievements that didn't register the first time round. I already downloaded Ostagar... is it worth waiting for them to put it back out again before I start it up?
Well, that sucks. I guess I shouldn't have downloaded the update last night. Why are developers like Bethesda and Bioware having such trouble with getting DLC to work right?
I am following the discussion (whining, really) over there and several people suggested deleting the thing from the cache to be on the safe side. There is still no word on the PC version though. A moderator showed finally up, but he is just shrugging regarding the status of the PC and PS3 versions. My personal theory is that someone at Microsoft prematurely put the DLC up and since Bioware appears to be contractually bound to release the DLC for all platforms at roughly the same time, they had to pull everything." @Captain_Insano said:

EDIT: The latest official statement by Chris Priestly: We are still working on details for all versions of Return to Ostagar and the title update issue. When we have information, we'll make it known.
I think to be on the safe side I'll just hold off playing until they come out with an update that fixes whatever they broke. Will give me an excuse to play some of the games on my shelf I've never touched.
Has there been any word from the powers at Bioware as to a title update or eta on Ostagar finally coming out?
The one thing to be glad about is that it may not turn out to be a Fallout 3 DLC fiasco in terms of bugs (at least, for those who didn't manage to already download it for the minutes it was up), but man, I wish they'd keep us better updated.
It's also weird seeing the PC version of this DLC tossed into second priority over the 360 version.
It probably has a lot to do with sales numbers. I haven't heard anything official but the story usually goes that the console versions, specifically 360, far outsell the PC version. While Dragon Age very much is a PC game at heart I'm going to go out on a limb and say it sold much better on the consoles.
I uninstalled the game, I am sick of waiting for a 45 minute long DLC. I should be able to use those 400 points for ME2 DLC later on, so they are not entirely wasted.
So did they decide to just hold everything back until after Mass Effect 2 is released? I haven't heard a thing about it since the 360 version got released and was swiftly taken down again. You'd think they'd have had it out on all platforms, by now.
If that is the case, I've just gotta ask, why? Do they really thing it's going to cannibalize the sales for their major game, or did they pull all the Bioware staff away to work on post-release Mass Effect 2 patches/DLC?
It might just be that busted. Whatever was going on it got the release pulled twice and led to a title patch that messed up some things pretty badly. They might still be trying to figure out just what they did and how to fix it.
