I thought the ending was dumb personally.

i just beat the game like 5mins ago..and personally i really liked the ending..with the baby thing going on, it makes sence why she didnt kill you like she did everyone else thoughout the whole game, and how she helped you when fighting Keegan at the end, why else would she have helped you....i also started thinking "wtf" when near the end, she says "help me" so i thought she wanted to die...but i guess that was wrong, but i smell another sequel, cuz you dont really "kill" her, and she has a baby so that will probably play into another game...i dont want this game to be the last in the series..not that its bad, but it opened the door for new things

I thought it was a great ending. Definitely a steep cliffhanger, but its got me chomping at the bit to play the sequel, only for the story's conclusion. (better be the conclusion, the shitty slow-mo gameplay has worn itself out)

I thought the ending was great. It was chock full of things that made me go WTF. Excellent game overall, I wouldn't mind a sequel to this one.

does anyone think Becket will be in the next game?...that is if they make a new one

If? With that ending, do you really think its an if? I would be suprised if Monolith doesnt ride the FEAR train until were begging them not to make another one.

I had already pieced together the ending of the game through several comments on the Bombcast, so it wasn't entirely a surprise, but I still think it stands as one of the best video game endings ever. Sure, you have just as much closure as you did in the first game (read: none at all), but knowing they're going to make another game anyway, they ended it about as shockingly as they could, and left me feeling excited (no, not *that* kind of excited) for the next game. Think about it. The original FEAR ended (SPOILERS...........) with the release of Alma, upping the ante for the next game. This ending ups that ante even higher. Now, not only is Alma roaming free, but there is another, probably more powerful being in existence.

If you're still confused on the rest of the game's labyrinthine story, I'd suggest finding all the in-game "intel" and reading it thoroughly. There's one document in particular that sums up everything pretty well, which I greatly appreciated. Of course, you could also go to the Wikipedia entry and read some synopsis.

I dont know, the ending was pretty suprising and unexpected but at the same time, Very fitting for a Fear game.
