A new blog post on http://polytroncorporation.com/state-of-the-polytron states that Fez will finally be ported to other gaming platforms. The experience may not be as grand as it was when it initially came out on the 360 due to most of it's secrets being revealed on the internet. Still, Fez will be coming to other platforms so take comfort in that.

I'll believe the 2013 release target when Polytron (which is only Phil Fish now, apparently?) releases something.

I think I might have to buy it again... If only to try and peek inside at it.

I guess I will take comfort? I don't know anything about the game, but it must be good if people are always talking about it.

A handheld release for the game would be neat. Wouldn't mind having it on 3DS.

I'd buy it again on PC if it meant the frame rate issues. I love the shit out of that game, but those issues kept me from getting full completion. Just couldn't take it anymore.

Given the larger variety of hardware/driver/OS configurations that would have to be accounted for on PC, and the number of people working on the game, I kind of doubt that. I'd bet ten bucks that if the game is released on PC, it'll be a buggy mess again, and Fish will throw another bitch fit instead of putting out a functional patch.

Phil Fish is not necessarily the nicest person and it's not really just because of the Japanese game dev comment but his personality in general. Wouldn't want to see him end up running a company with more employees with the way he handles his temper and his outbursts.

He's an independent developer who went in enormous personal debt making a game tons of people loved. Can we agree that from now on, when a person can't afford Microsoft's ridiculously expensive patch charge we won't call it a "bitch fit"?

Having said that, Wii U eShop release please. I want the game to force me to take detailed notes on the notepad ATTACHED TO MY CONTROLLER.

True. However, he choose to go in bed with them knowing how they are. It's not this huge big secret of how MS conducts business and that's what it is to them, a business. If you go in bed with a shark know the risks you're taking.

I'm glad he's taking a stand against MS insane patch policies but this guy makes it really hard to sympathies with him. Maybe him and Vincent Gallo can open u a club together.

I just realized why we may differ on our thoughts about Phil Fish. It may have something to do with our proximity to Quebec. Now hear me out here: one man's "rude" is another man's "French Canadian." Suuuure he may speak out of turn once in awhile.. it is part of his DNA. But I've never seen that be an indication that said Canadian is a bad person, when it really comes down to it.

I don't even care about him at this point, but it's still a sticking point for a large group of people.

more specifically it's the fact that there will be very little of that original zeitgeist of trying to solve the puzzles that there were in the 360 version, which according to the crew was a large part why that game was so cool
