No. It's not what I look for in a FF game. FFXIII was what I looked for.
Final Fantasy XII
Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Mar 16, 2006
The last Final Fantasy game released on the PS2, Final Fantasy XII is distinguished by its condition-driven "gambit" battle system, its Monster Hunter-like open environments and side quests, and its setting in the existing fictional universe of Ivalice.
Would you want an HD port of FFXII ?
It already looks pretty good upscaled. I'd check it out if they included the Job system version that most people never got to try.

Absolutely. I had issues with certain parts of the game (namely Vaan) but I liked the focus on the political story rather than teen melodrama, the voice acting is among the best ever in videogames, the characters weren't simply the typical FF archtypes and the world was really huge and very interesting. A very unique Final Fantasy game, and vastly underated.
I'd love to legally play through the Zodiac Job System version of the game. Being in HD would be nice too I guess. They spend a lot of time pandering the the weaboo luddites who just want more versions of FF4-7, it'd be nice if they could call attention to the one game they've made in the last decade that as actually innovative and pioneering.
I wouldn't be unhappy with a re-release of XII, if they added something else. I'm not going to buy it again just because it's in HD. It was a reasonable game - sure Vaan sucked.... and so did Penelo..... and so did Basch..... and so did Ashe...... and Fran wasn't even really much of a character.... well, okay, only Balthier was any good, but he was a great character. And the combat system and the environments were pretty awesome. And the story was reasonable. Nothing spectacular, but it was reasonable. Definitely not SE's best effort, but it wasn't their worst effort. At least it had a story worth paying attention to.... unlike FFXIII.
I wouldn't mind it, but I'm not sure that I'd buy it since I've got the feeling that once I get through my current PS2-on-my-PS3 play through, I won't ever feel the need to play the game again. But, the graphics do look washed out and pasty which is sad because it also looks like a lot of work went into their creation. I'm sure eventually there will be an HD version although it might be more than a few years down the road.
I'd be more interested in playing the version of the game Matsuno wanted to release, that the obtuse nearsighted bitches at SE hampered down with bullshit. "You gotta have your pop idol character bro. For the tweens, see. This political nuance isnt working for me bro, can we make this about collecting crystals? I'd really like the final boss to be a Supersaiyan bro".
