ARE you a Midnight Launcher Duder?

I realized years ago that I didn't need to stay up late for a lot of things including video games. If I am pre-ordering then why not pay for someone to deliver it when it is convenient for me?

I went to a midnight launch once, the people I saw there made me shameful of being a gamer. Never again.

I do midnight releases on Steam because I can do them while not standing outside in a line for hours so afterwards I can go home to download the day 1 patch.

The last one I did was for Saints Row 4. Being preloaded I could start playing at 0:05. Great midnight launch.

I like to get games a midnight if I can. If not, oh well. I'll just get it when I wake up.

After an uncomfortable experience with a Midnight launch. I never decided to do it again, just no.

Just show us on the PS4 where the GameStop employee touched you.

I usually just pre-order it and pick it up the next day. Selling a reserved copy can get employees fired, so I'm not concerned.

I was going to go to the midnight launch for one of the Halos (3, I think?) but I was working a lot of overtime that week and fell asleep in my car in the mall parking lot.

Mall was open when I woke up, though, so at least I got to walk in and get the game. That was fun.

Edit: So, um, no. I am not that sort of duder. Kind of wanted to get the Wii at midnight, but my car broke down the day before. When I explained my sorrow to the tow truck driver, he thought I said I was giving him my "weed money."

On occasion I'll leave my shopping for the week until the appropriate day and go to a 24 hour supermarket at around midnight and pick up the game along with my groceries. I usually don't actually play it that night but it'll be there in the morning and I'll play it then.

So I don't NEED to do it really but sometimes I like to.

It depends. I got a vita at midnight and I'm getting a ps4 at midnight but thats about it. My Sony fanboyism only goes so far.

I'm going to the midnight launch of GTA V. It'll be the first one since Read Dead Redemption for me.

The average gamer makes me want to stop having an interest in gaming, so much cringe, so many times have my eyes rolled.

So from that you can tell I've been to a few and swore never to go back.

I am a crusty old man and midnight is past my bedtime.

Its far more comfortable waiting for the package to arrive at my doorstep.
