Best shotgun in a shooter

The Duke Nukem Shotgun has never been matched.
 
If you hack it you can make it blow the badguys away so far they fly off the screen. Even if you dont it's still pretty bad ass and has a nice punch to it. Has always been my favorite next to the Doom shotgun.
 
Both of those are unmatched even today, though.

Sniping dudes with slugs in BFBC2 is also pretty satisfying. 
 
I wish the shotguns in the STALKER games were better. Though the street sweeper is decent in that series.

Killzone def has the best shotgun in any game I have ever played.  The weight of it is so perfect.

The XM-26 LSS in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was pretty dirty, magazine-fed semi/automatic with red dot and suppressor = nom nom nom.
  

I always loved the shotgun from half-life 2 best with the shotgun from the halo series being a close second.

Triple-shot scoped shotgun revolvers in Borderlands. Sniping with shotgun pellets!

Flak Cannon. Especially the one from the original UT: the one that made that cool sound when fired. The newer versions didn't feel as good.

Regardless of how you feel about the game as a whole. The Medal of Honor reboot's campaign shotgun. The result of a successful headshot is really rewarding. Oh and Xmen Origin's Wolverine. The special move on the shotgun toting enemies. Really, really awesome.
