Earthbound
On paper, it has everything I wish more RPGs had/have (orignal story, neat HP mechanic, no random battles). I played it and for some reason, really did not like it.
Games You Hate But Everyone Else Loves
The one I think of most when I think of games that I hate that everyone else loves is the Halo series. I really tried and tried to play and like it, but I just couldn't. The thing is, not many games come right out and offend me with their crap, and Halo isn't one of those games. I just couldn't get into it. Most of the games that I openly dislike are those that just don't do anything for me.
Killzone 2. I couldn't even finish it. I tried playing it but after about ten minutes each time I did, I wanted to do anything else but play that game.
The Darkness. Got it for like five bucks, played an hour or so and never played it again. The shooting didn't feel right, and the fact that the main characters mouth barely even moved when he talked was really annoying.
Dead Rising. Played for like 4 hours straight when I first got it... was tons of fun. Then I died and I had to start over. Fuck that.
" MGS4 "Does this game get better after you get past the first part in the dark tunnels? I'm stuck at this part, not because of difficulty, but because it's so boring (I know that's less than a few minutes in, but it's so boring so far).
Not a huge fan of the GTA series. So repetitive, with a kind of forced story.
Resident Evil 5. the game is OK, but I'm stuck at a part because I have no ammo. None. And I've preserved ammo so much up to this point.
Call of Duty 4: For me, the MP got very boring way too quickly. Granted, I play the PC version, so I don't have the prestige system, but then again, that system is there just to make you do the same stuff over an over again. Not my idea of fun.
Halo series: The overhyping of this merely competent shooter will never cease to amaze me.
The general Final Fantasy series (FF7 in particular). I admit, I can find some entertainment in JRPG's (take my love affair with, arguably, the most grind heavy of the bunch: Dragon Quest) but 90% of the Final Fantasy games just did nothing for me. They don't grab me as it seems to do to just about everyone else. That said, I like SOME of them like the Tactics games, 9, and the first.
Street Fighter 4 (dont like the commands for each attack, dont like most of the characters and their attacks)
The first Gears of War game (both suck at multiplayer imo though).
GRAW and Rainbow Six vegas (both games had the worst bugs Ive ever to encounter on a console games, coupled with the worst AI).
"Final Fantasy series. They are the same thing, the main character is so feminine that I sometimes get lost in his eyes and than shake myself out of it when I realize he has no boobs and I basically sit there for few minutes telling myself how straight and awesome I am. How alot of men sometimes think it's a lady it isn't. I AM NOT INTO DUDES. Also the stories are terrible, and I hate the combat."
Terra is a girl. (and yup i think FF6 is the best in the series.)
Personally I don't like the ones after 6.
Also Halo 2 and 3. and someone else said that HL2 felt like a chore to them, i felt the exact same way.
BioShock. Played it all the way through and never got to the bit I was expecting, where I was gonna be laying elaborate traps and killing people in unique ways. Loved the world and story but thought the actual game was mediocre as anything.
Street Fighter as well. But that's only fair because it hates me.
pretty much RPGs and Real Time Strategy games (like Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Age of Empires, World in Conflict)
- Halo 3, got quite boring after a while and eventually started to not like anything about it as time passed
- Fallout 3, I played through it once and cant get back into the game, plus its a lonely lonely game
I really wanted to like Bioshock, but found myself unable to get engrossed in the story or atmosphere of the game.
-Final Fantasy VII : Includes all pre/sequels and movies, only time i fought a sephiroth was in Kingdom Hearts.
-Grand Theft Auto: Missions are dull, boring, and or too frustrating and the car racing is broken... which brings me to-
-Midnight Club: for broken racing and making NFS Undercover look like a decent game.
-Guilty Gear: WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN
-Dynasty Warriors: I'm just kidding... nobody loves this game. rofl.
-Smash Bros. Brawl: This piece of crap don't compare to the epicness of the first two. for shame, Ninty.
-Wii Fit: I just dont understand... I'd rather get DDR or... you know... Walk.
Hate everything related to Final Fantasy
- Halo 3
- GTA 4
- Killzone 2
- Mass Effect
- Gears of War 1 (I enjoyed the 2nd one)
- KOTOR (both) - I played the 1st one and I thought it sucked, so I decided to give the 2nd one a chance 2 see if it improved in any way, and found it equally boring, maybe even more
oh and i enjoyed condemned 2, but the whole thing was so messed up and blurry (especially that level in the office where you hallucinate like hell), i dunno i guess its good 4 teaching children that drinking is bad, but the whole thing really fucked me up
orange box, beyond good and evil, call of duty 4, call of duty world at war, and probably many others.
Definitely Fallout 3 and Oblivion, they're so boring, especially fallout 3 more so than oblivion. I can't see what's s amazing about these games, they just bore me...
I hate the old resident evils with the tank controls. I also didnt like Onimusha series for the same reason. I dont like braid either
" Zelda,Mario.Although I did enjoy the Mario RPG's. "I could see Zelda, but not even Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy? You sir, have no soul...
For me, the original Far Cry.
The Grand Theft Auto series. I can see why people enjoy them, but the concept never sounded fun or interesting to me. The same goes for many sandbox style games.
Half Life. I'm just not a fan, and it's weird. because I should like the series based on other games i've enjoyed over the years. But it just didn't do it for me, very sadly.
