Havent bought a game in 2010 what should i get?

im sorta between ffxiii and metro 2033 not sure which though...what else is there?

Wasn't Mass Effect 2 a 2010 release? Get that.

RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM FINAL FANTASY XIII AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. I fucking hated every moment of it and it's the first game in a long time I geniunely consider to have been a waste of my money. (and I buy a lot of shit games) 
 
Metro 2033 looks awesome but I've not had the chance to play it yet. 
 
You could always drop some cash on old games that are now cheap, Red Faction Guerilla for example I just picked up yesterday cheap. Alan Wake is out next friday, could give that a chance i'm really hyped for it.

I fucking dare you - try out Sonic Unleashed.

On topic, it depends on the console. I'd suggest getting Mass Effect 2 and Darksiders, if you got a PS3, God of War III is an obvious choice. Those are pretty much automatic victories if you buy them.

just remembered i did get mass effect 2. oops. it was soo early that its almost a 2009 title.
 
ffvii is my fav game of all time. so hearing from a fellow ff fan that xiii sucks i believe you. metro 2033 i dont want to pay full price for it .

Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2

If you like westerns and GTA games there is only one answer: Red Dead Redemption.  It's probably the title with more bang for your buck.
 
If not you have Alan Wake, Metro 2033, NIER...

Get FFXIII, stay away from metro2033. Also while your at it, buy mass effect 2 to round out the rpg experience. One is very linear, the other one you can at least choose which planets you want to fight on. I also enjoyed splinter cell conviction.

Man, with all this preemptive love for Red Dead Redemption, I sure as hell hope it delivers. Even if it has framerate problems, I hope they aren't terrible. Besides, a good slowdown during the more carnage-filled spots is basically the game's way of letting you know that you're fucking stuff up extra hard.

Without a doubt Mass Effect 2.  Seriously, it's a superb game, with production values through the roof, and a great story.  There is no other answer.  ; )

FF13 is better then Metro.
 FF13 just gets a lot more hate then it deserves.
But i say get Red Dead Redemption when it comes out next week instead.

Deadly Premonition... its like $20 bucks and will keep you entertained for 20+ hours depending on how much you do in it.

I know it's not 2010 but... Who cares? It's such a masterpiece.

Red Dead Redemption

Darksiders, Bayonetta, or ME2. ME2 is the best game to come out in a while.

If you have a PS3 only, get FFXIII. GOW3 is way too short to justify a purchase. Way too short. If you have a 360 or PC, get Mass Effect 2. If you have all of them, get Mass Effect 2. Simple as that. 
 
Oh, you already have ME2... then get FFXIII! It's amazing. 
 
Bayonetta is also a super fun experience.

Like RPGs? Mass Effect 2 is a great game.  
Like FPSs? Battlefield Company 2 will blow your mind. 
Like Fighters? Super Street Fighter IV is a great value for only 40 bucks.  

Metro 2033 is absolutely fantastic 
so was Mass Effect 2 so either would be good choices

Mass Effect sucks so badly, I can't possibly fathom the thought that the 2nd could make the series go above average. I don't get what the big deal is. I deleted Mass Effect from my hard drive because I hated it so much. Mass Effect 2 can't be much better.
