Well, apparently that game Huxely from way back when is actually still alive. Looks like it could be good, but for me, not sure if I'd be willing to pay a subscription fee again.

Huxely...isn't dead?
I just watched a deathmatch video from GDC over on GameVideos (in addition to the above posted video) and, Al3x is right. It's a UT3 clone. I hear it can only support 32 on 32 as well, so that is basically the same as Resistance 2, I believe. Why pay extra for that? As for the MMO idea, it seems to me there was something free that was done on MechAssault 2's multiplayer. Conquest mode had people playing for a team and the battles won moved their side closer to galactic domination. The war for the galaxy went on whether you were playing online or not. I read it didn't work out so well do to flaws in the system, but the idea seems to be the same as the one in Huxley to me. And as for character creation...well, practically all FPSs have that to some degree today. Sadly, I'm not too impressed with what I see. Hopefully, the final product will offer more.
It doesn't look anything special whatsoever....anyway, this still isn't even enough to get me to believe its coming out. Like when screenshots and a new teaser trailer came out for Duke Nukem Forever, I doubt anyone thought it was coming out anytime soon from that...thats about as convinced as I am that Huxley is still coming out. If so, by whats shown here, color me very disappointed in what they're showing anyway.
Maybe they can do what Planetside did sorta right, by making a great MMOFPS. I might consider trying it out if it ever comes out that is...
I think he was making a joke based on how long this game has been in development. It's been years since anyone heard anything or cared about this game.
"I think he was making a joke based on how long this game has been in development. It's been years since anyone heard anything or cared about this game."Still, kinda odd that he would mention that game when a similar sounding shooter was on it. (Keep in mind that I barely pay attention to the MODERN game industry.)
I lost interest in Huxley since the media hasn't been talking a bit about it, I think I forgot everything about it. THey should update us a little, same case for a lot of other games...
