I can't stand the ignorance of some people.

So I was talking to my friend at school about MW2. I said to him, "So have you tried spec ops yet?"
He said no. I asked him why not. He said this,
" 'Cause, that mode is lame. It's the worst thing in that game. Nobody will play it. It sucks."
I said, "how do you know that if you haven't tried it yet?" He said "Why should I try something that sucks? I told you, that mode sucks and nobody is going to play it."
 
Then I said to him, "Well on Giant Bomb, they said that spec ops was probably the best mode in that game."
And, I shit you not, he said, "Well Giant Bomb sucks and is for losers. Only gay people go on Giant Bomb."
 
So I got mad and left. I talked to all my friends who had it and they basically gave me the same responses. i.e. Spec ops sucks.

Honestly though, it really shows how well you can cooperate with your friends. Especially in the later missions where the ai has perfect aim at any range and can down you in two shots.

It might be worth noting that I have 1 or 2 friends who are at least somewhat okay on the subject. My other friend Jake said the mode is good when you have a friend. He justified it by playing it, and gave an honest respectable opinion without being an ass. See, not all my friends are bad.

His loss then, huh?

Everybody's stupid about something; I have plenty of buddies who hate on games/gaming culture. IMO, you're doing the right thing. Don't hate on the guy or stop hanging with him if he's really your friend, just don't talk to him about games and GB. That's what GB is for, anyway.

I actually had an argument with a friend last night about women. We were in the parking lot of the Liquor Church (our nickname for the liquor store here) and a woman came out of the store. She was wearing an outfit that you would see at a nightclub and there was a good bit of skin showing. Of course my friend's tongue lept out of his mouth and he started drooling at the sight of her. I rolled my eyes and went in to get my booze. As we were leaving, he kept talking about the woman and how hot she was. A lot of my friends are like this and they call me a robot for not ever expressing my feelings towards women like they do. I sighed at him and said "Some women might be offended if you stare at them like that.". So he said "If they don't want me looking at them, they shouldn't dress like that." Hoo boy. I rarely get mad but that got me all riled up. We argued for about 5 minutes on the subject before agreeing to disagree. I thought that it was quite ignorant of him to assume that all women dress like that so men will oggle them.
