I've played ASS II and really loved it, and I'm really hyped about buying Darksiders ever since I played the demo.

Assassin's Creed II and Darksiders would be my pick.

You will get more out out of ASC2 since it is a open world game and plus collecting all those feathers is time consuming.I am hearing it takes around 8-9 hours to complete GOW III on normal.
Final Fantasy 13 is a long game too.I suggest you play the demo of the games you listed if you can to decide or watch gameplay videos on youtube

Just get Dead Space. It's only $20. Save the rest of your money and soon those other games will start dropping in price too. That's how you keep yourself from being poor.  ;)

I'm sure any games that you choose from that list will be great. I would recommend getting God of War III and Assassin's Creed II.

@sjhujh:
good I haven't had any problems the fifteen quid 2 disc at a time deal works good for me as I keep one long game out (dragon age mass effect 2 etc) and then kinda cycle through other shorter stuff. Postage times are usually reasonable 4-5 days from posting to getting a new game but I hear it depends on where you live. I used to use lovefilm whose postage was a bit faster but it was hard to get newer stuff as its so popular. Hope that helps

I don't know what to pick and I want to see the results.  Every game is good for what they are, even though I don't like most of them.

AC2 is leading by quite a lot, and everyone on here seems to agree. Especially so if it's on sale at that price. I got it pretty cheap too, wasn't actually going to get the game, but it was really cheap, and free shipping, so i got it. Didn't regret it, awesome game.

As for the other game..
Darksiders is pretty awesome, it should last you at least 15 hours, which is longer than people are saying GoW3 is, not sure about the others.
However, if it's not on sale, i'd recommend going with FF13. It's newer, probably about the same price, and will last you much longer.

Right its 11.55 GMT and its safe to say that that AC II has taken the lead followed by Deadspace....

Found Dead space for £4.74 on Amazon so if any of you guys wanna pick it up head over there. ACII I'm getting from gameplay for £24, its some kind of gameplay special ed that comes with a  special mission or some such.

Thanks for all the votes and comments, you guys have been awesome! I'll let you know how I get on with the games...

Cheers

Out of the list that i've played, you can't go wrong in choosing any:
GOW3 is fantastic and a brilliant end to the series
Darksiders is a very zelda like game with awesome art design
Deadspace was also great
Assassins creed 2 is probably the best imo

FF13 I haven't played but i've heard people have mixed feelings
NGS2 seems like an awesome gaame as well as long as you have patience

@swamplord666:

I think Darksiders is going to be the next game I get, I'm probably more motivated to get NGS2 rather than GOW II cos to make the most of GOW I'll need to buy the collection (last gen I had a gamecube so never played the other GOW games, did play NG 1 on my mates X box and loved it)

Darksiders really sounds like a game I'd enjoy quite a bit, I'm  a big Zelda fan and from what I hear it riff's off that alot... Plus its something new in terms of the world which will be refreshing concidering most games these days are sequels...

just thought I would let you fine people know that I ended up with ASS Creed II and in a shocking turn of events Bioshock I... the later was free so Dead Space will be in my next round of game purchases...

I have to say ACII is god damn amazin' Its a much richer experience than the first game by far, feel like less of a grind.

And the story is superb... much more involving than the whole 'I tell you to go kill badman, you go now'

Son, you definitely need to play AC II. Even though I preferred the first one.

Choice G: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Choice H: Torchlight

Also, check out Settlers 7. A little-known RTS/city-builder that's been getting good reviews. Dunno if you have a PC that can handle it, though.
