LBP European Release Delayed!

They need to get the fuck over themselves. if they don't like it, don't play the game. it's a good song too. Always getting so butt-hurt. They're words. People have the freedom to use them, and they can't dictate how, when, or in what manner. My respect level for anyone that defends this kind of behavior just continues to dwindle into the negative (where it was already).

You know, this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Sony, my fucking God, calm down.

Look at Assassin's Creed, in that game, you ran around killing Muslims, Christians, and Jews. And nobody said shit about that game.

Yet, on one song, there are a few lines of scripture from the Qu'ran, and Sony flips out. It's not like they were mocking the Muslim faith, just adding some character and culture to the damn game.

Personally i couldnt care less about the delay or LBP but it is yet more evidence that religion is a over protected beast and arguably a hypocritical one. At the end of the day the content was in there by mistake. By that i mean its religious connotations where not known as it was being added. Because of this no malace could of  been intended by the developer and therefore they should be forgiven as forgiveness is at the core of many religions.

On the flip-side of the argument however a case can be made for removing the content. Do we really need to give more amunition to individuals who would manipulate religion and its followers to there own will. The danish newspaper cartoons were evidence of this.

All in all its a very relavent and interesting development.

The game was due for release next week, October 24, but now some retailers are estimating the game may be delayed by three weeks until November 14.

However, GamesIndustry.biz understands that the title may not suffer such a long delay to retail, and a new date is expected to be announced by Sony next week.

Here's hoping, though the American market is regarded as being more significant than the European one, so they could be pooling their resources to get a reasonably close re-release date for the US. Then breath a sigh of relief that it's finally out in one territory and then start getting to work on the others. But fingers crossed it's only delayed by a week."

Well first I've been seeing 14th November, but I've now been seeing 31st October. Either way I've just pre-ordered it off amazon which is still saying 24th October, so maybe I'll get lucky.

Why is the news to anyone? For some reason the largest gaming market (the EU has more gamers than any other region) is the one that is constantly getting screwed.
