Distributed Failure is back for yet another show, this time will a full crew! Rob is back after dealing with his little bout with herpes (all is well now) and the show gets particularly crazy near the end. Side Note: Rob didn't really have herpes, but he may have had a slurpee.

This week's "What We've Been Playing" features such games as Lost Odyssey, Patapon 2, Bionic Commando, Pure, Soul Calibur IV, and the conclusion of all Dawn of War II talk. We follow that up with a little gaming news including the official announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for XBLA/PSN, the "cancellation" of Six Days in Fallujah, and a few more tidbits. We end the show with a little movie talk and an odd discussion devoted to nasty sexual fetishes...good times, good times. Don't forget that we're officially back on iTunes now too!

Eternal Poison? I pre-ordered that game because I thought I'd get the pre-order artbook. But it turns out Amazon.ca was sold out of those when I made my order; and since I hadn't bought from Amazon before I didn't realize how blatantly they announced pre-order bonuses. If I had known that, I would have realized I wouldn't get the pre-order bonus and probably would have just waited.

Six Days in Fallujah was actually cancelled? Hm, I hadn't heard that. I'll have to look into it. Edit: Nope, can't find anything on that. Just news about Konami pulling out and Atomic Games' desire to still get it published.

Well as you can see that I wrote "cancellation" in quotes...I didn't mean it quite literally. I'm just lazy and would rather write one word than "the news of Konami pulling out on publishing Six Days in Fallujah".

How many people actually use the Zune marketplace?...honestly... This all just makes me think of Austin Powers: "Who throws a shoe?...honestly" - I'm going crazy with Lost Odyssey for some reason. I've just passed 21 hours and I'm still having fun...wtf!? Also, I've managed to put TR: Underworld into my 360 twice so far and the first time I made as far as the title screen; the second time I managed to play it for 1 minute and 37 seconds...how long will my next run be? (should I start my own TR:U Endurance Run videos!?...videos that last 2 minutes or less!!!)

I only use the Zune marketplace. It's very slick and has a much better interface. Plus, obviously, it's just easier to use the like-minded program with your like-minded MP3. (e.g. iTunes for iPod, and Zune Marketplace for Zune) I would have subscribed the RSS feed way, but it said it was invalid. Thanks for submitting it henderson, either way it means more exposure for you guys.

Hey no problem, you are right V. It is more exposure for us.

Hey have I said how much I love Valkyria Chronicles lately. I swear I am going to come to everyones house who owns a PS3 and did not buy this game, and beat you with a New York City Phonebook.

I drowning under a wave of green-colored names and pools of zunes all up in my face...@Vin: I just fixed the links to the RSS Feed so they should all work now, or you can get to the RSS right now HERE. I also can't help but laugh at Rob for stating he would beat anyone with a PS3 and no VC with a phonebook...the thought that he could beat up anyone is so ridiculous...he couldn't beat up a 3 year old girl if she had both hands tied behind her back and was blindfolded...seriously.

Alright Kush it works now. For Zune users, here are the steps to using an RSS feed to add Podcasts.

  • Boot up the Zune Marketplace obviously.
  • Go to Collections --> Podcasts.
  • Look for "Add A Podcast". Click it.
  • Put in the URL http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cyberears/Fodr.
  • Now it should take a minute or two before automatically adding the info, the series, and all of the episodes.

P.S. Kush and Henderson, do you know it's almost been a year? I scrolled down and saw the first podcast was on the 9th of May, 2008. Methinks you should give out prizes... aha.

Edit: Are these compressed properly? They take a very long time to download...

Vinchenzo:

It has been a year. Our year was in Feb. and we did give away a game.

The shows are compressed properly, however, sometimes downloading of the shows can be slow. Sorry about that, it happens

Yea...it's already been over a year for a good while now and we (really, it was Rob) did give away a game, while I tried my hand at raising some money for charity. We had two entries for the free game (a $60 game of the winner's choosing from Amazon) and I managed to get $40 for my charity drive...$20 that came from Rob himself, while I added $60 to make it a nice, even $100. People don't like to help out their indie buddies, but they'll gladly drop shitloads of moola for all those ex-1UPers :P ...

I just have to say that the announcement of an HD remake of TMNT: Turtles In Time makes me orgasmic all over...that is all.

Very sure...the winner ended up being long time listener ("long time" as in since EP1!) and "fan!?" ZombiePrincess. She became the lucky recipient of a copy of the CE of Fallout 3! The giveaway happened as a part of EP45 ...so that may be why no one remembers, not to mention the fact that I don't really know how many consistent and active followers our little podcast actually has...

Side Note: The Wolverine movie ... .... ...yea, it's not so good. What they did with Deadpool in the end...wth!? I actually kind of despise what they did with the film...This may actually be worse than X3...and Spider-Man 3...and the last Superman film...and OMG, what on Earth did they do!?

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember that now.

Yeah, X-Men Origins: Woverine doesn't look too hot. The video game looks pretty sweet though.

Also @LordAndrew: ...I am thinking about doing another giveaway when I launch "The Craplog" podcast, though I will do my giveaway a bit differently...I'll set things up that the only way I'll actually give something away is if I get say...10 different people to participate in some kind of contest  (etc) ...so look forward to something in the future. I was thinking about giving away a copy of either VC, Mad World, or GTA: CW recently just because those are games that haven't sold well (besides VC as of recently) and they all deserve to be played (though I haven't played MadWorld personally), but I decided against it since we don't have that many listeners and only about 2 would ever write in if we asked users to write in...so I didn't feel like putting up the money to just give another game to ZombiePrincess :P ...hopefully our affiliation with the All Games Network soon will help greatly boost our listenership.

Edit: ...Don't forget to subscribe/rate us on iTunes...we could use the support on their right now.

Just checked the Zune marketplace right now and we're still not up there from what I could see. ...I have a question for next week's show: TMNT Turtles in Time HD remake on XBLA ...GREATEST NEWS EVER!? ...yes? or no? ...Fun Fact: My answer is yes and this has just become my most anticipated game of 2009...more than Heavy Rain, Infamous, Prototype, Modern Warfare 2, Brutal Legend, etc...Honestly, I stained my pants when I first read the news!

Dude, I could totally play with TiT all night long! I really am more excited for this than any other game ...this is actually the most excited I've been since probably the debut of GTAIV! Now I only need the X-Men arcade game and The Simpson's Arcade game and I'll be in heaven. If this game somehow is an X360 exclusive and I didn't own a X360...I would totally buy a system just for this game!
