So so far, what is your favorite game of the year?

Personally, since I haven't played many games that came out this year except for Mass Effect 3, Mass Effect 3 would be my choice. Even if I had played other games, I think it would probably be a very good contender for the best game so far. How about you? The saddest part is that I still have to play some of the best games from last year, or most talked about, but that's beside the point here. Also, maybe I'm forgetting something, but ever since a lot of these games have been pushed to next year, I feel like the only other game that might potentially rival ME3 would be Max Payne 3. What am I forgetting? Oh yeah... Diablo, but I wouldn't count that in for me.

I've only played two 2012 games, SSX and The Walking Dead Episode 1.....I'll go with Walking Dead.

EDIT: Forgot about Fez, so I've played three....still sticking with Walking Dead.

I don't think I've played a single 2012 game yet, this year.

For me, it's Fez.

Mass Effect 3 ahead of Max Payne 3 by the slightest of margins. But Assassin's Creed 3, Hitman: Absolution, and Halo 4 will probably have something to say about my final pick.

Journey. Definitely the most emotional I've ever been playing a game.

I've been keeping a list of 2012 games I've played and enjoyed. Looking at it, and I'm not sure which of them I would put at number 1 currently. It would probably be between Mass Effect 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles...or maybe Trials Evolution.

I haven't actually finished either of the 2012 games I've played thus far, but so far between Kid Icarus and Xenoblade I'd choose the former.

The only 2012 games i have played this year are:

Darkness 2

Kingdoms of Amular

Syndicate

Prototype 2

I recommend them all, but i would say Syndicate for both a solid single player, and addictive and fun multiplayer.

So far it's Max Payne 3.

I;m going to say Mass effect 3 I was really excited for it and for the most part it lived up to my expectations, I didn't hate the ending and other than that it was a fantastic game. Skyrim has only really come to the fore in 2012 so I'd call it a 2012 game even though we're talking releases.

What's come out this year?

I know The Walking Dead did, and it's fantastic so I'm going to go with that.

EDIT: I guess Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition arrived, and I've put an ungodly number of hours into that. But TWD still stands fast.

Off the top of my head, I'd probably go with Journey. Really interesting experience and was short enough that I never hit fatigue with it. Great game.

I'd probably have to go with Asura's Wrath. That game is fucking bananas. In a good way.

The only game Ive played is Gravity Daze.

Let's see.... What did I play... I played Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect 3, That Resident Evil game that I forgot the title of, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, aaand that's it I think. My favorite would definitely be Mass Effect 3, even with the ending. I didn't hate it, but I didn't really like it. Although I came to the conclusion that, no matter what will happen, I won't like the ending. Because that would mean that the "Shepard series" would END, and quite frankly the ME Fanboy that I know I am does not like that.

I've only played Journey and Mass Effect 3 and they are so different that I can't pick a favorite. I liked both a lot.

Either Trials: Evolution or Mass Effect 3.

ME3, but I've played little else.

Oh yeah, I forgot about some of the ones listed, still though, ME3 for me.

Journey, easily Journey. Never had an experience like it before in a game and I'm actually afraid to play it again that it might ruin my memory what it. It will be hard for another game to top it but that is also because everything I'm interested in this year keeps getting delayed.

Asura's Wrath followed by Rhythm Heaven Fever.

A surprise even to myself, but Syndicate. I really love the co-op missions in that game

I'm gonna say max payne 3, but KoA Reckoning was really good and so was trials evolution. i haven't played mass effect 3 yet because i haven't finished 2 but that'll probably be on that list soon enough.

i do not believe i own a 2012 game.....yet.

I haven't played many games that were released this year (been focusing on my backlog), but out of the games I did play a good bit of, I'd say Devil Survivor 2, Rhythm Heaven Fever and Trials Evolution are my favorites so far.

Probably Diablo III or Fez. Haven't had a chance to play Journey yet though.

Diablo 3 I guess... the only 2012 game I've played.

I'm tempted to give it to Halo 3 though. A bit late to the party for these purposes though.

Mass Effect 3 is all I've played that's come out this year, so it. But that's not saying much. It's... OK, not a downright bad game, but not a wholly satisfying game in any right, much less as the concluding act to the Mass Effect series.

Diablo 3 here, haven't finished ME2 so i cant seem to get some ME3. I am honestly surprised i have heard so much ME3 in here WTF is that?

Oh yeah XD. I actually replayed most that game on the hardest difficulty as well. With all of the stuff I've been doing I completely forgot about it.

It's still damned good.

Think the onl u2012 game this year has been ojourney and that was pretty good.

Krater, surprisingly. I don't know what it is, but I just had a lot of fun on that game. A surprising amount at that.

Mass Effect 3 is still my favorite with a close second being the 360 version of the Witcher 2 if you would even count it. I got Naruto Shippuden: Generations and while at first I had a slightly negative reaction to it I've played that game more than any other this year and I didn't expect that.

damn its close between mass effect 3 and max payne 3. and those are the only two games ive gotten this year. i mean ive been playing alot of skyrima nd stuff but for games released this year yeah.
