I'm glad I have a late era SNES with beautiful 480i output through HDMI.
Sony Issues Handy Chart, Giant Bomb Issues Handier Chart
"It has been pointed out to me that the PS3 has Bubsy support. Bubsy 3D support! One whole D better more the original."If you shake it before you turn it on it actually has Bubsy 4D support, as originally promised.
LOL.
Yes this is one sided and bias, but it's funny how everyone jumps on this bullshit PR thing but not the 100,000 dumb PR things Microsoft said. For example Greenberg saying that they don't have any competition, or him talking about how they have the most consoles sold (before wii overtook them, but failing to mention that they came out a year before). All of this is just PR bullshit and it shouldn't even make news.
Although one thing on the list which is true and such a fucking rip off that I still to this day can't believe Microsoft gets away with is the wireless adapter at $100.
I own a PS3, my roommate owns a 360. The consoles sit just an inch apart in the entertainment center.
Sometimes I think I can hear them making sweet, sweet console love at night when they think everyones asleep. So, in the end, it doesn't matter which console we love, just that they love each other.
I haven't laughed this hard in months! XD
flipping brilliant!
this is why I love you GiantBomb! Thanks for putting this fanboy war to rest at last!
"Aren't video game site owners supposed to do their best to be unbiased towards consoles?"
Uh, no. This isn't wikipedia. It's not the Wall Street Journal either. One of the nice things about Giantbomb is that the editors all have opinions and we get to hear them on the blog and in the podcast.
Maybe they do think Sony has some weird PR and the PS3 is the weak horse in this round, but that doesn't necessarily damage their ability to review games for it.
I don't think Jeff is particularly biased. I believe he recently called a high profile 360 exclusive "mad boring."
I might not always agree with him. But, he calls 'em like he sees 'em and I respect that.
This is really pathetic of Sony to put out - probably to detract conversation from CES and Microsoft/Nintendo monopoly on the casual and core gamers. If they just stated why they were awesome without the comparison chart it would definently be a lot better. I think they wanted to create some Heat and have the fanboys on both ends take over from there. Very lazy effort.
It is true....
IF
a) you need a hard drive ... for something (all 360 games run without it)
b) you want to play Blu-Ray movies
c) you use wireless connectivity for you console
d) you play online
I'd imagine that for the majority of users, especially as you get more mainstream, non of these matter.
(obviously, the HDMI bit is utter garbage though)
For once Sony has used of pure and perfect logic, but logic is something xbots dislike. Nothing Sony said is false, because for anybody to actually enjoy the 360 there are extra costs (this without considering 3rl). The PS3 is the cheaper and has the best game library and plays Bluray (upscaled DVDs are simply awful). Anybody with an HDTV will buy a Bluray, eventually.
I think Sony is better off showing how their console is actually a better choice than reduce any of its price. This article is simply so unprofessional and childish, because it doesn't come with any facts or information. It is just a knee jerk reaction of a fanboy when confronted with the reality.
just wait till god of war 3 and killzone 2 bitches. and sonys chart is mostly accurate so stop crying about it. there are 5 people who use my ps3 tp play online games wirelessly. that would cost 100$ + 250$/ year on 360.
In case anyone wonders where you can get that delicious hamsandwich: Hmmm....delicious
It's good that Sony put that helpful chart out. Not since the 16-bit wars have I seen such goofiness.
I believe Home promised delicious pork scent for download once it gets out of beta...or, maybe I'm thinking about Subway.

And you were expecting something professional from a Giant Bomb news article? I think you've come to the wrong site. These news guys like to have a bit of fun.

Who's the troll-in-chief? Jeff? He's been critical of all the systems. This article seems to be primarily an attempt to have a bit of fun though.
What's your response to my analysis? Have you read it yet?
