They didn't have that when I first joined GS, they only had "Ask the mods!" . And I know only global mods/admins are allowed to post in other people's threads, unless it's marked open discussion by a mod/admin.

Perhaps. There are a lot of threads cropping up with suggestions. It wouldn't be needed at all if people would just keep their suggestions in this thread. But people have proved that they cannot do this.
The Font Color Button
As far as I'm aware, they're still working on multiple colours schemes for the site, so a font colour button wouldn't work, because while a colour might work on the black site, it may be virtually invisible on the white site

Good for you, I guess? Not that that has to do with anything. And your knowledge of GameSpot really means pretty much jack.
@ MattyFTM - I think friends list on profiles would make it more easier, there used to be one, but now it's gone. :(
I know GameSpot, and other sites have the Font Color button, but a font color button would look cool on this site. I can see most colors fine on both black and white backgrounds.
An ask the mods board, could help you get an answer faster, instead of having to PM a mod.

Thing at the top of profiles, they are covering up half the Profile banner. Can we just make that whole profile status thing smaller? That would be awesome.
@ArmoredCore55: I think I can say with some solid facts that an 'Ask The Mods!' board isn't something the current roster of Moderators on GiantBomb would be all too keen on considering the current methods of contacting a Moderator works just fine. And I'm fairly certain the Staff feel the same way after all the improvements they have put into the PM system on the site.
As far as I can tell, once a post is deleted it's gone forever, leaving no evidence that it ever existed. Unless the acting moderator PMs you personally or leaves an explanation in a locked thread, it's unlikely you'd even notice. And it's easy to ask for clarification by responding to the PM you received, or sending a PM to the mod who locked the thread.

I like to be able to skip to say the end of a video without having to buffer the whole thing first like when you're watching a long episode of the ER, you're an hour in and it goes "Duder, it's over!" and you have to refresh and buffer all that shit again, which on a modest connection is a pain in the arse.
@Drebin_893: Sure, I can hit escape easily enough, I mean, I have key chains set up for most tasks on my desktop. But I was just thinking about overall UI cohesion. Most video sites have all the guts on the scrub bar for simplicity's sake.

Not to spam, but I've had a similar problem. If you accidentally navigate away from the page, it can be a pain.
@Jambones: Or that, yes. A few times I've paused a video to go read a news story in another tab and I acidentaly pressed the cross and closed the video!! Argh!
I think we need to add a basic search feature to the Users portion of the website. There are times I've tried to look up certain users to add them to my friends list, and I end up having to dig through a million different names that start with Ma or Me before getting to them.

In all seriousness, giantbomb is indeed a completely different site. And while GS does do some things right, not everything needs to be copied over here.
