Why???

I heard about this. It was all over Twitter and the IRC yesterday.

Well, yes they have. I have been against the news since last morning but, Miniman, can you give some background to why this happened?

Huh, wait, what did they do that warranted banning? They always seemed to be good guys.

Trying to impersonate moderators, apparently.  WTF did they think would happen?
 
Favouritism and appeasement have no place in moderating decisions and I applaud the decision.

This is good news, hopefully there is more where that came from.
