Time mazinage has made their list of top ten games for the year (2009 if you forgot what year it is). The number 1 game? Modern Warfare 2. Number 2 Un... Batman Arkham Asylum. Number 3 Unchar... DJ Hero? Damn you Times! OK, you got me. I am partial towards Uncharted 2 and think it should have been higher on that list. To be fair, I've not played all these games. Maybe DJ Hero deserves the thirds spot and Uncharted 2, AC 2 and Halo deserve the last three spots. Anyway, here's the full list.

Swarm has almost no information on it, according to the Giant Bomb page, and I remember Scribblenauts NOT being Game of the Year caliber, in retrospect.
because we still follow time magazine's attempt to cover video games... honestly, they said that 1. spore was near perfect/revolutionary/a must buy/will be a bestseller (all these things) 2. natal/sony wand will be revolutionary (not saying it wont, but it's too early to call) 3. Little Big Planet was multiplayer only 4. Natal was one of the 50 best inventions of the year should i keep going?
Weird list. Hard to believe Wii Sports Resort wasn't on there, seems like a Time thing to put on. Maybe even inFAMOUS. This seems like a strange mix of games everyone would have heard of and gamers games.
Modern Warfare 2 may or may not deserve to be on the list but Its certainly not the best game. ODST, nice nod to it. Batman: AA, based on that list, should be no 1, with UC2 2nd and AC2 3rd. If MW2 has to be there at all, its 10.
If you look at the list it's Geo Defense Swarm. Actually not a bad list... some oddballs, but that's to be expected. It's a GOTY list, nobody will agree with it.
