I don't know if anyone else does this, but after banana/ fruit consumption I always brush my teeth and use mouthwash. If I am somewhere where this is not possible I will run my teeth along my tongue and proceed to spit out the saliva and tongue residue(only outside, and when it is socially acceptable) then drink a glass of water.  
 
This gets rid of any undesirable taste left in my mouth. I am also OCD about the washing of my hands ( not because of germs, but rather the feeling on my hands)
