What game do you keep coming back to?

Ever had the urge to play something old? Something you once thought you were done with, and yet a part of you misses the fun you had and you want to play it again?
 
For me, it's either EndWar, Uncharted 2 or Sims 3. From time to time I get that weird urge to just play one of those three again, even if I know there's a deadline for me to meet and a painting/animation to finish. Most of the time, I don't give in; I need those hours or else I'll never get any work done. However, when I do give in, it all feels just as good as the first time I played the game. 
 
While EndWar isn't a strategy game that I'd call 'excellent', I love the way you view the battlefield, 'on the ground' with the troops and hearing the individual voices of every unit group's leader. The in-game chatter between infantry is a neat touch, even if it sometimes gets drowned out by explosions and such. The game's got problems for sure, but it's fun to play again. 
 
Uncharted 2 is a different sort of beast: The whole game is so bloody beautiful, and full of so much detail that I end up getting inspired to draw or paint something when I notice a cool little detail about the locations. The world of Uncharted 2 is one I'm happy to come back to, mostly because of the fantastic scenery.
 
Sims 3... is an enigma. I can't explain what it is that I like about it, especially considering I got sick of Sims 1 and skipped on Sims 2. Maybe I like the 'Traits' feature, giving sims weird combinations of traits like 'Evil' and 'Friendly', or 'Loner' and 'Romantic'. Maybe I just like the goofiness of the Sims universe, a world where an Insane sim can go fishing at the public swimming pool AND ACTUALLY CATCH SOMETHING. I'm not really sure, but I always find myself playing again for a half-hour to an hour, once every week or so.

What about you? Do you have a game or a set of games you find yourself playing again a long time after you thought you're finished?

Solitaire. Nice, simple game that helps me when I get anxious/nervous.

Arc the Lad: Twilight of Spirits and Kya Dark Lineage... they're both pretty old games

I beat them, then traded them in, then rebought them years ago. Now I find myself popping them into my ps2 on breaks and starting over eveytime for some odd reason... 

Trackmania Nations Forever. It's so easy to start and play for about half an hour. Also, NHL 10, because I love hockey. I occasionally go back and play Pokemon, but I rarely get very far.

Gears 2 for multiplayer even though I end up getting pissed off at times. Oh and Uncharted 2.

Resident Evil 4, MGS3, Final Fantasy IX, Bioshock.
 
I could play any one of those games for the rest of my life.

TF2 and I have a flirting love affair.

i constantly go back to golden oldies. final fantasy x i review constantly because its just such a great game. i also went back to pokemon blue recently and then went on to play the leaf green remake of those original gameboy pokemon games.

It's Uncharted 2 for me. Currently playing through it for the sixth time... which is especially sad since I have three games I haven't even finished once yet.

Demon's Souls but before that it was Pokemon Diamond.

Gameboy Kirbys, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Starfox 64. Play those all the time. 

Counter Strike Source, ever since it came out.

Not a game, but the Final Fantasy series in general. I still love naming all my FF1 characters after their South Park counterparts, and then watching as my Black Mage constantly dies.

As much as it pisses me off at times, I keep going back to Uncharted 2's multiplayer and it saddens me that the community is slowly dying.

The weapons are my favorite part of that game. >>  Also, that last boss battle is worth replaying the game all over just to try and beat it again. "

I play Guild Wars quite a bit.  There's a lot of older games that I'll go back and play.

I'm not sure what kind of time scale is being discussed, so I'm not sure how to respond.

Fallout 3 for me. every 2 months or so, I somehow have a row of daily 2 or 3 hour gaming sessions with it despite beating the game almost a year ago.

Dragon Age

There was a time the original Mass Effect had me addicted.

Saints Row 2, Borderlands and Dragon Age: Origins mostly. Mass Effect 2 brings a sneaking compulsion aswell, sometimes. It used to be the original Resident Evil games but after so long even I finally decided I've had enough.

Lately it's either been Demon's Souls or FFXIII (trying to get that Platinum...)
 
Which is weird because I've still yet to finish P3P

I recently started playing Oblivion again.  It's not exactly an old game, but I thought there was no way I'd ever come back to it.

I constantly replay Grandia for the PSX.  The VA is kinda shoddy, but the characters and battle system have appealed to me for the past 11 years or so.   If only I could find a copy of Grandia II...

I always end up going back to Diablo 2...I'm thinking about installing it right now. But I always end up getting bored after the first realm. I've completed Diablo 2, but I never made it through to LoD.

Team Fortress 2. Twice I put the game away, and twice I have returned. Closing in on my 700th hour now, and I know it will stick with me for a long time still.
