what gives?

Is something going on in the gaming industry that has them out of the office or something? There's been almost nothing at all on the site for four days.

@thebigJ_A: GDC was last week/this weekend, and Jeff has been sick I believe. I think they do most of the content 1 day before it's posted - so a busy/understaffed Friday meant that there was no Monday content ready most likely. I'd expect to start seeing stuff this evening/tomorrow.

Patience, comrade. While I agree there could of probably been more news stories out of GDC, the video content from it should be coming up soon. Mondays are usually slow. They have made up for it in the past, especially to us premium members.

Lets us not forget they are recording the bombcast right now, filled with probably 1-1.5 hours discussion solely on ME3 and hopefully some Journey.

Just curious, is all. I'm a supporter, and I'd never get down on them for anything small. I was just wondering if I'd missed something.

Funny how the very first thing posted after my query is a video entitled "Jeff's sick day"!

Quick, someone alert the Captain that we need more rum else there will be a mutiny on our hands.

What didn't you guys notice the virtual vacation every game journalist took this last week. Every site has been running nothing but trailers since Wednesday. It was like Mass Effect 3 came out and everything stopped so everyone could party at GDC. Some sites even said they were,"covering" GDC and then proceeded to write up two paragraph summaries of talks and show trailers for three days. Whatever these folks did at GDC, it sure must have been fun. Don't worry I'm sure by the end of the week everything will be back to normal. Giant Bomb usually has a very short hangover time.

There's been very little content in the last 3 weeks. Sure there's been some here and there but not the usual amount and it's not as if there haven't been any games to cover. GDC has been over for some time now and everyone knows what went down.

They have been throwing a going away party for Brad.

Oddly enough its not just on this site there has been alot of non video game sites i go to have been going through the same issues. little to no updates all week even the people i follow on twitter barely say anything. Did the internet die when i wasnt looking?

I don't think the problem is "there is no content" its more of there isn't a "hey guys this is what's up. sorry about the lack of content." It's a lack of communication, Jeff mentioned doing a jar time segment but again that can be done from home.

I find it odd that there is very little content coming from any site on whiskey. I'm just figuring maybe something is up at the office and the staff really can't work from there this week or maybe some remodeling or maybe the mold from the podcast room has taken over and placed everyone in webbed spore pods.

Wednesday night and nothing even listed in the "Coming Up" queue on the main page yet. I assume there must be a reason for the dearth of new content over the last several days, but yeah - a bit of communication would be good.

At least the podcast was extra long this week, I guess. I'm a bit confused by the GDC reasoning, because wasn't Patrick the only GB crew guy who went to the whole event anyway?

I need to get my fix.

I came home from work sick and needed 20cc's of quick-look-ecilen. But there was none to be had. I'm just glad to see that other people are confused by this too. I thought I had missed something when there was no content coming.

I wonder why they weren't in the office on Monday. Maybe the building is shut down or something. Or maybe they have taken GiantBomb to it's logical conclusion so now they sit around eating chili and pancakes.

WM is out of business, the building is shuttered. The brain trust is gathered at Dave's to eat chili and pancakes until a further course of action can be decided on.

With the lack of content across Whiskey one has to assume there is something up with the office, right? Maybe bugs or mold, who knows. Kinda weird though because most of the time they have no issue talking about everything that goes on around there. The silence is disturbing.

I wish everyday was Chili day, if that were the case I wouldn't mind the lack of videos that much.

Maybe no new stuff is coming out so they wanted to take it easy for a bit knowing they won't lose money if they do.
