What is your top ten of games featured in your pile of shame according to your desire to play them (1- most desirable / 10 - less diserable).

No top ten here, but everytime I play Red Dead Redemption, I stop playing after crossing to Mexico. I really need to finish that gay!

ok alpha protocol is the only one i can think of, 2 buck on steam awhile back played the tutorial then got distracted by other stuff and never played it again.

1. Might and Magic VII, through a combination of technical problems and never getting far past the first part of the game (I've gotten past it, just not very far past it).
2. Frozen Synapse, because it's another one I've actually played.
3. Revenge of the Titans, simply because I made it far in before giving up altogether.
4. Civilization V, because, again, I've played it for a bit.
5. Magicka. WHY CAN'T I UNPAUSE YOUR DOWNLOAD!?
6. Dungeons of Dredmor. The adventures of Lady Kong deserve an end.
7. Plants vs. Zombies. I don't know, either.
8. Psychonauts, because it's apparently good or something.
9. Same with...uh...Amnesia?
10. Oh, and Cthulhu Saves the World, because I'm too lazy to transfer the saves from my old computer.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is #1. It just sits at the bottom of my Steam list, taunting me.

Metroid Prime is a game I sadly never beat. It is fantastic yet I suddenly stopped.

I barely ever played Okami. Stopped with Valkyria Chronicles. Only beat the first four colossus in Shadow of the Colossus. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are game I really need to play. Although I don't own 6 it's easy to buy on PSN.

@Jeust: NO EXCUSE to not finish Lone Survivor. It's like 3 hours long.

@Video_Game_King: It's not for lack of trying. Every year I try to at least get 1 and 3 done once and for all so I can claim true legitimacy as a video game connoisseur, but something else inevitably catches my attention and I just stop doing it since they're such easy games to do in spurts and put down. You can probably blame my growing up with a Sega Genesis as my first console for planting this heretical seed in me.

@Video_Game_King: It took me a while to catch up to that side of things since my parents couldn't afford to buy me both, but that's been long taken care of. Super Famicom games were probably second only to the PS2 in terms of the number of games I bought while living in Japan, which was to say, a bunch of them.

Got to the beginning of the water temple and just said fuck this, once I found out you eventually return to the desert from my friend just killed me on ever finishing the game. The game single handedly ruined motion controls for me.

This is the perfect thread for me right now as I literally just got done playing AC3 and need to pick my next game to jump into. Looking through my list I'm thinking this order right now, but I will probably change my mind by tomorrow. Actually it took to the end of that sentence. The ones I really want to jump into are long RPG's, and with Persona 4 Golden coming out next week I'm going to be jumping into that ASAP so I don't want to have two long RPG's going at a time. May try to jump into one of the short games like Asura's Wrath or WWE All Stars to mess around in on the side. Might try to burn through Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars and finally turn on that 3DS I bought a year ago and have yet to touch.

I will see what tickles me fancy tomorrow. Right now I'm going to grab a can of coke, watch some Breaking Bad, then head to bed.

@crusader8463: Just play and beat Asura's Wrath, it's like 5 or 6 hours, plenty of time to beat it before P4G comes out.

Braid and The Lone Survivor I guess but I doubt I will ever actually play them.

@Nightriff: Ya, it's just that I like to save those short games. I have a metric fuck ton of long RPG's in my backlog and when I'm done playing one I need a break from that type of game before I can jump into the next one. So I like to save these short games as a breather for when I go from one RPG to the next.

1. Bioshock 
I've played to the garden section twice now, but then just flat out stopped. 
2. STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl 
I should love everything about this game (openish world, nuclear wasteland, light RPG elements, first person, nonlinear) but I just can't play more than an hour without getting bored. 
3. Dead Island 
Same goes for this one. I love zombies. I love tropical islands. I love open world first person RPGs with melee combat. But for some reason I just haven't played more than five hours. 
4. GTA IV 
Once I get home for Thanksgiving break, I'm going to rectify this. I just found out about the "off" option for the cell phone and that was the only thing that caused me to lose interest in the first place. 
5. Deus Ex Human Revolution 
Never grabbed me. 
6. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection 
I asked for it and got it as a Christmas gift, but never played more than a few hours of 2. Maybe next summer. 
7. Dark Souls 
I want to love this game but I'm just not masochistic enough.  
8. Alan Wake 
I played about half over the summer and then just stopped. I'll probably pick it up again sometime in February when Far Cry 3 has lost its luster and Bioshock Infinite isn't out yet. 
9. Company of Heroes 
Played the first two levels of the campaign and a few skirmish matches and then forgot about it. Since I only paid two bucks for it I don't feel particularly shameful about this one. 
10. Knights of the Old Republic 
I've played 16 hours of this and love it. No idea why I stopped. I should definitely finish it at some point.

Don't think I have 10 backlogged games, though I might have 6 or 7; don't necessarily regret not playing them. Most recently I bought Galactic Civilizations II and I've played about halfway through a session, I'm sure in the future I'll get around to mostly finishing that session or starting another. I played King's Bounty Armored Princess for about 15 hours but it became relatively apparent that I would have to itch and scratch my way through every battle and circumnavigate the game world a few dozen times before I could beat it on that character and difficulty level, so I just stopped; still love the music and enjoyed the game though.

Deserved more time on my 360(barely played 'em):

I know it's more than 10, but I feel as though I'm special.

Here are some games that I never finished and/or haven't played enough of, but would really like to go back to and finish/play more of!

1. Shogun 2: Total War - Bought it for $7.49 during a Steam sale. Played it for about 12 hours and burned myself out. It deserves to be played more.
2. Diablo II - I've played 100s of hours of this game, but I've never finished it. I usually get to the swamp area before I start to get bored. I don't even know what Diablo looks like in this game.
3. Final Fantasy XIII - The general consensus is that the first 60 hours are terrible, but I really enjoyed the first 60 hours of this game. It lost me once I got to Pulse. My end-of-game save on my hard drive is taunting me.
4. Skyrim - I've finished the story in both Morrowind and Oblivion dozens of times, but I still haven't even touched the main questline in Skyrim. Not that I think it's a bad game. I love it. But there are too many distractions in the game that kept me from starting the story.
5. Fallout 2 - I just bought this recently from GOG. The outdated visuals and clunky interface made it very difficult to enjoy the story and setting, so I stopped playing pretty quickly. The HR patch just made everything worse. Need a remake.
6. Darksiders II - No good reason why I haven't finished it yet, so super shameful.
7. Prince of Persia (2008) - I think it's a great game, but I bought it at the wrong time and didn't play much of it. Don't know if I'll ever get around to finishing it.
8. Deus Ex: Human Revolution - I got to the final chapter and then lost all interest. *Shrugs*
9. Jade Empire - I really love the setting of Jade Empire, but I found the combat system to be incredibly boring, and it eventually turned me off.
10. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare - Not a full game per se, but I never finished it, and now I can't seem to muster up the interest to download it again.

1. Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations- I had the first 3 for years, I played the first 1 then 2 years later played the 2nd which was last year, and now I still haven't really played 3. Some things turn me off about this series, but if the last trial is as awesome as the last trial in 2 I'm stoked. Also I really like Shinji Mikami's games

2. Tales of Vesperia a game I've had since it came out that I just didn't finish.

3. The World Ends With You got this the day it came out, still hanging out with Beat somewhere.

4. The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks: Hardly played any of this.

5. Donkey Kong Country Returns.

6. Madworld this games like 5 hours long, how have I not finished it?

7. Metroid Prime 3.

8. Final Fantasy 8

9. Fallout New Vegas I played 50 hours before I even got to Vegas. But I've put it down.

10. Hitman Blood Money I hear its good but I stopped playing half way through, mechanically I just find it annoying.

There are many more games I need to play, I really want to get into Fire Emblem, and finish all the Final Fantasies.

Dragon Age Origins and Bastion are the only two that I'm certain I want to put up here at the moment, though I'm sure that if I tried I could come up with a top ten. But, really, I've had DAO for well over a year now and I really like it, but I want to find time to sink a few hours into it every session and that hasn't come along too often for me. I'll beat it this Christmas.

@BoG: Play the Witcher 2 you scumbag. I also had the DMC Trilogy unplayed for a few years; though I did eventually get around to it; DMC3 is excellent the other two have their share of issues and you might find it difficult to even get into the first one though it has a lot of nostalgic love.
