Why regular fans are sometimes no better than fanboys (Rant)

Read it all. I am compelled to agree in the sense that amongst what is said is that criticism should also be open to criticism, opinions are made from experience and would thus be debateable (unless we're talking music, which is a matter of taste, not opinion). Moderates have an annoying tendency of going with the flow of their own hivemind, never trying to break their own trail of thought.
 
This usually means that, Ironically, in their desperate attempt at taking distance from taking sides, they form their own side that can be more obnoxious than either fanboy side.

Fanboys are ok when they are open-minded. It's one thing to defend your favorite console or favorite game. It's another thing to hate anything that isn't that console or game.
