" Wow, picks looking really good this week, barring that random-ass Steelers loss. 10-1 so far. Try to keep up Shocker :) "I don't know why I picked the Chiefs... I need Washington to pull it off tonight.
2009 NFL Discussion Thread
I'm still pulling for the Raiders in that game. The skins always seem to do JUST enough to pull of the loss, whereas the Raiders have actually looked quite alright in their past few games." @jukezypoo said:

" @AgentJ said:If it isn't a big problem, than why did the NFL pass the rule for east coast teams? It's an obvious example of east coast bias. No matter who it is, a team that is playing at 1:00 is going to play better than a team playing at 10:00. I'm not going to fault teams for not spending the extra cash to put a roof on their stadiums, but this is a league issue, and its very simple to fix." Discussion time! Question: Is it right to send west coast teams to play in 1:00 PM (biologically 10:00 AM for visiting team) east coast games, especially when east coast teams, thanks to a new NFL rule, don't have to play in 10:00 AM (biologically 1:00 PM for visiting team) games on the west coast? "Personally, I really don't think that 10:00 AM is a problem for these guys. They're used to the rigors of the NFL schedule, and 10:00 AM isn't especially early anyways. I'd say this is far less important than the issue of teams with open stadiums in areas with especially cold weather (New England, Green Bay, Chicago, Et Cetera), and no one complains about that. It's just a fact of life in the league. "
" @jukezypoo said:I'm not 100% clear on the rule, but as I understand it it had to do with broadcasting times, since the NFL schedule is so focused on making it work for broadcasters." @AgentJ said:If it isn't a big problem, than why did the NFL pass the rule for east coast teams? " So what are everyone's thoughts now that both the Colts and Saints are 13-0? Can either team do it? Will either team even try for it now that they've locked up their byes? "Yes and Yes. Their remaining schedules aren't too tough, and both coaches are hesitant to rest player for fear of them getting rusty, with Sean Payton even saying that he wants to go 16-0.
Does it make a difference? No, not really. The balance in the league isn't what it used to be, and there are a lot of teams now that are essentially automatic wins.
" im getting my ass kicked in fantasy football. the team i am playing has chris johnson (35 points), ray rice (27 points), jamaal charles (23 points), titans defense (21 points), and still has kurt warner and brent celek left to play...ouch. "I'm sure Celek scoring didn't help too much.

You three (and I) had the best record of 13-3 for this week. If anyone else had a 13-3 record (I might have forgotten, thought when I was counting up somebody would top it with a 14-2 record) let me know.
Another week done, tie remaining at the top.
Week 15 here we go.

DAL @ NO.
Anyone like the Cowboys' chances? I don't, mainly because this loss pretty much locks them to miss the playoffs! Saints, Redskins, and Eagles are their last three games!
If the Giants win two of their last three (Redskins, Panthers, Vikings - shouldn't be too hard), they'd be in (and they would both have a 9-7 record) because they beat the Cowboys twice!
Go Saints!
" DAL @ NO. Anyone like the Cowboys' chances? I don't, mainly because this loss pretty much locks them to miss the playoffs! "Doesn't look like there gonna lose right now.
Wow.....every game that could have gone bad did for me this week: the last second wins for the Raiders and the Steelers, the Saints upset, the random offensive explosion from the Browns.....7-7.
And with that Shocker has broken the tie; you, sir, are now one game up on me, and will end the week one game up on me, no matter what happens. Well played sir...well played.
" Damn it. I wanted the Saints to go 16-0. Stupid Cowboys. "It's sad. The one loss the Saints have had this season was to a team who hasn't won a game in December for something like twelve years.

It would have been amazing if the Saints won though. For the 2nd week in a row, a team missed a game clinching field goal and gave the Saints an opportunity to come back and win.
