Definitely not deserted, although early in the day like this most people are either still in school or at work.

While it's not super active, you generally find that small-medium sized communities are far better than large communities. Everyone knows everyone, which is awesome, and there is a great community spirit. Far better than a large site where you don't know anyone because there are too many people.

I hope it stays this way. Crowded forums are annoying.
