used to go to the library 2 times a week and would get 2-6 books at a time, this year, I haven't been there as much, and for that I am sad :(
Are you a big reader?
I am. I own more books than I have time for, but eventually I get to them. The summer is when I usually get through a bunch of them, but due to having 11 days without power, I made it through 2. Slaughterhouse-Five and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Just started The Hobbit for a class, although I read it when I was younger.
I'd like to be a bigger reader but alas, I am both in college and have a job. This isn't really an excuse, but at the end of the day I'd rather play games than read books since I usually spend from morning til early evening in a book.
EDIT: By "bigger reader", I mean "bigger personal reader". I already have to read college books a lot and for the most part those are not something that I would personally choose to read, though surprisingly enough I enjoyed Jane Eyre despite pulling an all-nighter to finish reading it and writing the subsequent essay for the "panel" I had to participate in next morning. Fun stuff. Don't procrastinate, kids.
I don't read as much as I'd like to but I do enjoy a good book now and then.
Just got For Whom the Bell Tolls in the mail, I intend to read it as soon as I finish the Conquest of Bread, which I'm halfway through atm
I generally read a lot for my classes but as far as recreational reading goes, not so much. I used to read a ton when I was younger, but nowadays I usually only read when I'm away from power sources...when I go camping, I read a book a day, just about. I'm starting to put aside some time during the day to read more of what I find entertaining, though.
I don't like reading fiction--that's what we've got the Tubes for. On the other hand, I read at least 200 non-fiction books and essays a year.
I recently got back into reading thanks to the Kindle app for iPod Touch. I'm currently reading Jim Norton's book Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch and it's honestly one of the funniest books I've ever read. I really fell off the wagon with reading on my own during and after high school but this book has me hooked, I'm almost done with it and I only bought it this past Monday. Much like my father, I'm pretty into reading autobiographies and memoirs of people whose lives have been filled with dysfunction, debauchery, and rampant drug addiction. That's why I'm gonna be reading Marilyn Manson's biography as well as Nikki Sixx's "The Heroin Diaries" once I finish Norton's book.
I read a ton in school, mostly because of all the free time I had in classes after getting homework done. Kinda fell off a bit afterwards.
Trying to get back into reading as hard as I can. The main issue I have is in starting a new book. Something is oddly difficult about starting a book over just reading one I'm already in.
I go though spurts of reading very regularly to not at all for weeks. Right now I've been reading quite regularly, but in a few weeks that will probably slow down some.
Sometimes. I mean, I wrote this blog, and I have enough material for a second part.
I read a lot and once I started reading ebooks it's gotten a little crazy. I've burned through like 20 warhammer 40k books in the last few months.
Yeah I read all the time. Just got done with a couple Cormac McCarthy books I'd never gotten around to. Probably gonna read something light and stupid next. Thinking about finishing the Dark Tower books, but I don't know if I have time to commit to a series like that right now, and the last one I read I didn't like so much.
