So sad that he's retiring from making music as LCD Soundsystem...
Anyways I love this song, especially this version.
Hey John What's Your Name Again by The Devil Wears Prada. I love this song so much I have part of its lyrics tattooed on me.
I didn't know what to pick since we're only allowed one. Well, the embedded video is my first choice, but if you don't like it then select any from four linked beneath it.
- For the 60's ~ "I'm a Man" performed by Chicago from their album Chicago Transit Authority released the year I was born.
- For the 70's ~ "Old Man" by Neil Young from his 1972 album Harvest. Seem apropos for me here on GB. :)
- For the 80's ~ "Deadbeat Club" by the B-52's from their 1989 album Cosmic Thing. Pretty much the anthem of my freshman year in college.
- For the 90's ~ "So What Cha Want" by the Beastie Boys from 1992's Check Your Head. The decade was a blur to me, also I bought the album 4 times
- For the 00's ~ "Kissing Families" from the Silversun Pickups off their 2005 debut EP Pikul. It was among my top 3 songs of the decade
Since I can't find Poketo by Maaya Sakamoto from Vision of Escaflowne... I guess I'll settle for Nightwish?
In honor of the announced Queens of the Stone Age tour (March 29 OH GOD!) here's mine. They're gonna play the entire first album and this is my favorite track off that album. Awesome bass groove, starts slow, builds up to a crescendo. And Josh Homme's vocals are so so good. I love this band.
Amazing song. I was going to post something off of Loveless myself. I'll choose another album I suppose." My Bloody Valentine - Sometimes
"
Don't worry bro. I got your back. I mean that in a gay way.
oh and no, I am not gay, just a dude with good taste :-D
And add this to your list.
Just don't brush my hand when you do it.
Holy shit that video makes me feel like I had too much skooma :S"
Since I suspect a lot of metal will show up on the list anyways, I would like to instead go with something a bit more relaxed. "
i wanted to post Joy Division but there are already a couple of links to that. LCD Soundsystem was also posted so here's something new to the list.
it was actually pretty hard to pick just one song. sorry Wu-Tang, Tyler The Creator, Drake, The Cure, The Smiths, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Anamanaguchi and Arctic Monkeys. i hope you guys can forgive me.
You have amazing taste and must follow you now, Jolene is an amazing track the dual Stereo Guitars playing off each other at the start always brings a smile to my face," I have to say, it's really hard to choose.
Not which band, just which song...
The CAKE may be a lie, but it's the best-sounding, most musically talented lie you'll ever hear! "
I have to say though, this is a much better version.
