Michael Collins or The Wind That Shakes The Barley. Whenever I see those films I can almost feel a penis forming, ready to jizz green, white and orange. The heart expands, I puff up my chest and if a form to join the army is put in front of me, I get dangerously close to signing it. Neither films particularly glorify the Irish struggle against Britain, it's gruesome and it's upsetting. But there is something about them that just gets me going, remind me fully how much I love my country and manage to make me feel like a man. An odd sensation altogether but it's kind of like an 90 minute sex change each time. I cast wildly about for a uniform, some socks or padding to shove down and a nice rifle to march onwards. I'm not even that much of a Republican, I find the level of violence that occurred in Ireland in the 70's deplorable but seriously, those films do something to the savage male Republican nestled deep in my psyche, which is quite terrifying.
Films that make you feel manly.
Us men become vicious beasts when something threatens our children. Therefore, I think movies like Taken or The Road work best.
"Heat. When that epic gunfight starts, the dialogueless atmosphere of gun sounds is totally enveloping my quivering manliness.
The Bourne films. Amazing car chases, hand-to-hand fights and coolness that Jason Bourne shows with his skills gives ultimate altitude to my raging boner. Wait, does that mean I'm gay?
"
Oh god that shootout is amazing. That last shot Pachino makes? Fuck yeah!
I also loved Taken. There's no real story, it's just Liam Neeson finds the next people to kill and then kills them and then finds more people to kill.
" i am disgusted by manly feelings, the need to feel manly and anything that motivates/stimulates your manly feelings... its pathetic. so i avoid that shit. i prefer the movies that make me feel like a unique and individual human being Edit: no, what i said above does NOT mean im gay. get your head out of your ass and stop seeing in black and white. step out of the box you live in... im pretty sure that i like pussy and personally cant stand the idea of two dicks together. "So, you aren't sure that you like pussy?
" The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly has like one or two speaking roles for women, and the rest is hardcore motherfuckas staring each other down, and shooting each other. It's badassed. "This, this man, he's onto something.

Good man yerself! Michael Collins is a true masterpiece. Proud to be Irish myself! Have not seen the Wind that shakes the barley yet though.
"Hot Fuzz. Fuck yeah. "
YES!!!
A movie where men are inspired by other manly movies to do manly things!
This thread should have made me happy and lollering. But everyone coming in with their pretentious, no-humor bullshit is KILLING ME and is really bringing me down. Oh, internet.
Predator, Commando, Scarface, A bridge to far, and the Rohirrim charge at Minas tirith in return of the king always get me pumped.
" @Ryax said:you arent your fucking khakis" @fwylo said:you are not your bank account anyway, yeah.. 300, Evil Dead, Pitch Black, The Warriors. "" @Ahmad_Metallic: You are not a unique or beautiful snowflake. "you are the all seeing all dancing crap of the world. "
