Have you ever stayed up for over 24 hours straight? (Question of the Day 12-11-12)

No. I like staying up late playing games and using the computer, but I also like sleep.

I just did it today. 9am Saturday to 11am Sunday.

Most I've done is about 21. I think if I properly prepared I could do it.

Actually, now that I think about it, I may have stayed up 24 hours during one of those overnight theme park field trips.

Yes, many many times. I'll probably do it again soon too. I don't necessarily like doing it though.

I have yes, didn't feel too good afterwards.

I work nights, so once or twice a week.

Yes. I never get tired, and I don't like it. I usually just sleep when it's late.

Yes, but it wasn't due to "I'm gonna party all night, WAARRHLBB!!". Had a flight from Hong Kong to England delayed by several hours, then had to make my way home from Manchester airport.

Christ, I used to do it all the time. Far more than 24 hours too. These days, I'm homicidal if I have less than 5 hours of sleep in a given night.

A couple times. Longest for me was around 50 hours, and by the end of it I was exhausted.

Most I did was about 100 hours, simply to see how long I could. I seem to get by with very little sleep every day (~4 hours), so I figured I'd be able to make it a good while. The first day was the only one I felt tired, but your body starts reacting in odd ways past the 60 hour mark. From 60-80 I remember feeling very cold (and unable to get warm again), and past 80 all of my joints and muscles became very sore. I could have made it longer but I realized that whatever was happening was my body trying to tell me: "Something has gone very wrong, and I bet you're causing it." I eventually went to bed at 103 hours in, simply because it became too painful to ignore any more. Even breathing wasn't feeling right.
 
Now that I know my limits, I have no desire to do that again. I felt fucked up for a good week.

I've definitely stayed up for more than 24 hours on many occasions. The longest was for a bout two and a half days because of exams and work.

Many many many times. I'm a cop, so stakeouts and scene security and just fucking gong-show weeks make sleeping a luxury at times. Especially when we're short-staffed in a remote northern posting.  
 
Shit I remember one New Year's in 2003 that I was awake and going from call to call for like 4 days straight. In a 7 day period I had about 4 hours sleep max. It was horrible.

Think max was around.. 50 hours? Those were a weird two days.

Once stayed up all weekend (friday morning to sunday night).  I was working doubles everyday, but my group of friends wanted to hang out as well. It was a great weekend, but by sunday I was literally falling asleep on my feet.
