I live in Texas, so I'm pretty much fucked.
Hurricane Ike....you thoughts?
"Make sure you lock up good, and get the hell out? I don't know anything about it. How strong is it?"Very fucking strong.
I had a category two hit where I lived, made quite a mess. >_>
My front lawn was covered by eight pine trees that fell during the storm.
Ike is supposed to be a category three hurricane when it hits, same as hurricane Katrina.
I'm from New Orleans, and my parents are still there. Katrina sucked, and they left for Gustav. I'm glad New Orleans isn't getting hit again, but I wish you the best of luck!!
"All neighborhoods ... and possibly entire coastal communities ... will be inundated during the peak storm tide," the National Weather Service warned. "Persons not heeding evacuation orders in single-family one- or two-story homes will face certain death."
Fuckin intense is all I can say, and it's all going down right this second.
Yeah, not only is it gonna be hell for a lot of people in the south, it's fucking up gas prices as well. Damn you mother nature...DAAAMN YOUUUU!
I'm up in Waco, and we've been getting some light showers, scattered mostly. Winds have been about 15-20mph. I was watching the news coverage from Galveston and Houston, and they got F-U-C-K-E-D up! It's funny that I've lived in Texas for this long and never realized how close to the coast Houston is.
"I live in Texas, so I'm pretty much fucked."Well I heard on the news that there was an 80 story office building in Houston, and across the street there was an 18 story parking garage with windows, but it looks like a smaller office building . People have sworn on the camera that they saw desks and chairs from the office fly through the windows, and across the street into the parking garage through the windows in there. I'll look for a video, but how crazy is that. That would get like 10 million views on youtube.
Just read a news article and it said it wasn't the "catastrophic" event they had anticipated. Also that it turned into a tropical storm, and not nearly as strong as it was in its earlier stage.
Unfortunately they said 4 people have died in Texas so far.
