I believe it's planet even though astonomers try to say otherwise due to it's size.

No. Pluto is a dwarf planet, not a planet. There is no debate in the astronomical community... anymore. Science is a majoritarian system, not a democratic system (to quote The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe).

Telling the god of the underworld that his planet isn't really a planet anymore doesn't seem smart at all.

I did an Astronomy module this year in my Physics course at University, and no Pluto is not a planet it is a dwarf planet. Beyond the orbital range of Pluto there are lots of other orbiting bodies of rocks (some are even larger than Pluto!) so the reason for Pluto's rejection from the prestige of "Planet" status is simply that we don't have to include another 30 or so other planets and then have to teach our children a stupidly complex remembering acronym.

"

What Is a Planet Today?

According to the new definition, a full-fledged planet is an object that orbits the sun and is large enough to have become round due to the force of its own gravity. In addition, a planet has to dominate the neighborhood around its orbit.

Pluto has been demoted because it does not dominate its neighborhood. Charon, its large "moon," is only about half the size of Pluto, while all the true planets are far larger than their moons.

In addition, bodies that dominate their neighborhoods, "sweep up" asteroids, comets, and other debris, clearing a path along their orbits. By contrast, Pluto's orbit is somewhat untidy.

No, it's not a real planet, it's a dwarf planet.  Just how little people aren't real people.

Unfortunately it's a Dwarf Planet now. I wonder how much money, time and resources we spent in order to demote it. It's a waste in my opinion. Was it really necessary to demote it?

The only reason pluto is considered a planet is because it was discovered first, and they just assumed it was. In actuality, there are many objects of similar size in the Oort Cloud. Basically, there is nothing interesting or special about Pluto other than it was found first and therefore given a name. Sad for pluto, but it works better for the solar system because now we have 4 planets, asteroid field, 4 more planets =P

Why not...? They say it's not anymore. But, -shrugs-. If you can land on it, and it's not a moon, (or something else flying in space) it's a planet.

I think its pretty unfair on Pluto, i mean for years people called it a planet then woah all of a sudden it isnt good enough. Discrimination I think, Martin Luther King or Ghandi would not stand for this. So in short. Whatever keeps you breathing, its a has been planet. Meaning both answers a and b are correct?

The officials say it isn't, so it isn't. I even bought a t-shirt with this on it to remember it by. It doesn't really fit anymore though.
