3,900 in first week sales. Second lowest of any major label debuts in history behind Jesse Camp, the MTV VJ.
Did you buy it?

Well outside of our little internet culture bubble, I dont think many people even know who she is, let alone the fact that she has an album coming out.

Who the hell is Kreayshawn and why have I seen two or three threads about this person recently?
This is a blank quote.

A bad musician who produces bad music had a bad album release?
You just blew my mind.
Columbia gave her a million dollars and spent a fuckton on advertising.
Apparently money doesn't write good music that people want to buy.

Oh I know. I'm just saying, they expected her to be gigantic based on youtube views. Bad music sells.
You seem upset.Because Jeff and Ryan mentioned her like twice and all these drones on here started listening to her music.
This is what happens when you get a lucky break and one of your songs hits it big and then you wait almost 2 years to release an album all the while being unable to reproduce any of the magic of your breakout hit.
What I want to know is if Riff Raff will sell. I would love for his crazy persona to be the thing that pushes his sales. But yeah, that sucks. Also, I guess their advertising effort didn't reach me because I had no idea about her debut.

Again, mind blowing.
No. I did not buy it. Nor did I ever have any intention to buy it. Seems I was not alone in that regard.
If it weren't for Giant Bomb I wouldn't even know who this girl is. So, yeah, not a huge surprise...

Heh didn't know she was signed with Columbia or was on MTV (Don't have cable). Sucks to be her though she was kinda the one hit type of artist haven't really heard of anything else from her being popular. Kind of wonder in a few years if she will be the female Vanilla Ice of 2010s

Nah. People knew who Vanilla Ice was on a massive scale for the short time he was relevant.

And his album sold 11 million copies.
Her music is ass all around. "Gucci Gucci" is amusing solely because of its one-hit wonder capability. We live in a time that is suffocating honest music and promoting fake bullshit, much the same way the period of around '85-'92 was. We know what happened there: Nirvana came through and killed them all. The same will happen again. It happens every musical generation: there's one artist that slays everything and becomes the new messiah of music.
