i am a huge fan of the frightning and creepy things. so what movie disturbed you the most.
for me, gummo and pink flamingos. they simply shocked me more then anything
most disturbing movie
None, I know how they do most of the FX so it's very hard for me to see it as anything but latex, red dye and some other random products. I'm told Human Centipede disgusted a bunch of people, but I honestly didn't find it all that bad.
Edit: Forgot about the Exorcist. I remember watching it when I was in my late teens and the part where the girl does the crab walk down the stairs freaked me the fuck out for a good five to ten minuets after seeing it. Something about how it just cut to it out of no where, and how naturally it looked for her to be moving in that way, freaked the fuck out of me. I have honestly never been as scared in my life as I was after watching that part. I just kind of sat there trembling and afraid to look in any direction because my mind had convinced myself that if I looked down the hall I would see her running down the hallway at me like that. First and only time a movie has ever truly scared me. Besides jump scares, but I don't count them.

" Irreversible is so fucked up. "@Unknown_Pleasures said:
" Cannibal Holocaust.....film elitists will probably say Salò but I disagree. "All of these are correct answers.
The first movie to ever disturb me was David Lynch's Mulholland Dr., specifically the scene about nightmares and their relation to reality (you know what I mean, if you've seen the movie). Nothing really happens, but the way it is shot, the music, how it makes use of the viewer's expectation and doubt -- it's unworldly. I was really frightened.
The whole movie is disturbing, of course, but only in hindsight, when you start comparing dream and reality. »This is what you did to her!« Really, though, if you've ever been really lovesick, this is the movie for you.
Audition, The Exorcist, Clockwork Orange, Three...Extremes, Time of the Wolf and Cannibal Holocaust were quite disturbing. I have yet to want to even go near Salo...
But one that from a psychological/emotional perspective that just disturbed me was 'La Pianiste'. Isabella Huppert's character is just disturbing in general. That and Irreversible... words cannot convey how horrifying/disturbing that movie was.
" Antichrist was pretty horrific. "I had a really hard time watching that movie. Effed up. Martyrs was the last movie I watched that really kind of messed me up. Horrifying and thought-provoking stuff.
Lynch seems to be edging others out on this one. I didn't watch the whole movie, just the short clip from the ending, but that fucking face from Inland Empire scared the shit out of me. I had a weird irrational fear as a kid that at night scary people would be standing outside of the windows of my house looking in, and that scene totally brought that back for a few weeks except it was that face... It's so lame but so scary.
" TEETH "I liked that one. The thing that makes it so cringe-worthy didn't really bother me, as the movie has a (dark) comedic tone to it.

" Eraserhead. "Couldn't stand that movie due to it's soundtrack.
I would say the most disturbing movie I've seen lately is Deadgirl.
" Eraserhead.This
" The Lovely Bones Not for gore, but for the subject matter. "This can be considered a good answer.
I must also say that I thought "A Haunting In Connecticut" was a pretty good horror film, though a lot of people might disagree with me about that.
"The Uninvited" was, in my opinion, a mind-screwer as well.
The original Toxic Avenger was the first movie I saw where a child is brutally yet comically murdered.
Cabin Fever 2 is kinda stomach turning and not that bad of a film.
Blue Velvet isn't that gruesome but on the psychological front it is pretty disturbing. Pretty much anything from Lynch is kinda disturbing.
Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door is pretty messed up and it might still be on Netflix Instant.
As for Audition it does not live up to the hype, sure that scene is pretty disturbing but the rest of the movie is boring as hell.
Antichrist is pretty messed up and quite possible the sickest movie I ever saw.
What about that weird movie where a middle aged guy becomes a porn star and rapes and murders the girls he sexes up?
" @Valco said:Yup. It's what you don't see in that movie that really creeps you out." @PassiveKaerenai said:He is. It's not super-gory or anything, but you will either laugh your ass off or feel Goddamn uncomfortable for the rest of the day. ""Human Centipede!"Not even seen it and I'm willing to bet good money that you're right "

I heard anything by Takashi Miike is pretty shocking. Particularly a movie he made for Showtime that I don't think actually aired because it was too disturbing called Imprint. I don't know where or if you can find it though. I like to be shocked/disturbed too...conventional horror movies are pretty lame as a whole. I find dark comedies more shocking sometimes because adding comedy to horror makes it more disturbing.
" Eraserhead. That movie is one I can't watch. It just is so messed up. That baby... Ughhh... "It's also intensely boring.

It's got nasty parts, but far from the most disturbing movie I've seen.
seconded" Eraserhead."
