Hello all you college football fans!
 
It's that time of year again!  The 2009 NCAA Football season starts tonight.  So, to celebrate, I have started this thread for all the discussion related to college football.  All team fans are welcome, from Florida fanatics to admirers of Washington State.  Just remember to keep all discussion of college football in this thread and only discussion of college football is allowed.

I'm not very knowledgeable about college football. I just like to watch a bunch of people tackle each other. Don't actually know that much about the actual teams. Usually I pick the team that's closest to me geographically, and if I have no idea where the two opposing colleges are located I just pick the team with the best looking uniforms. Oh and:

I tried to make an honest effort to get into college football last year and it worked.  I have been a huge Seahawks fan for the last 8 years but never gave the college game much thought.  I've always been a UW fan and last year didn't help that to much.
 
They will probably get stomped against LSU but should rebound against Idaho.  I like the direction they are going in and Willingham was all sorts of horrible anyway.   Sense you mentioned Washington State I try and be a fan of both.  I didn't go to either school, I understand it's a rivalry, but they are both in the state that I live so fuck it, I'll cheer for both.  When it's apple cup time though I sport the Purple and Gold.
 
I'm also into Alabama because of Shaun Alexander and my friend's dad went to school there when Bear Bryant was coaching which I think is awesome.

My sister is going to a UofU game right now.
 
But I coul care less about any kind of football so whatever.

UW will beat every team in the country this year. Thats right, they will beat every NCAA team, and then they will beat every other college team in the nation, and then they will kick the ass of every high school and pee wee football team, then they'll join the european league and beat manchester united, and go to spain and beat barcelona!

Hello I live near Notre Dame within 7 miles of the golden dome . I hope Notre Dame  has a good season this year. But as ussual i will be let down.. Its hard being a faithful fan of N.D...Go IRISH.. Everyone have a good holiday weekend

North Carolina Tarheels... maybe this year they will win a bowl game. The big boys would kill them though, even I know that.

Did anyone see that guy Blount from Oregon punch that guy from Boise State? Haha, I don't think it was the right thing to do but it was pretty funny. He practically knocked him out with one shot.

No Cincinnati-Rutgers (September 7th) love CK? It's okay! Rutgers is going to win! Representing New Jersey, for sure. I didn't get to catch the whole ORE-BSU game, but I certainly have seen the post-game fun over and over again on SportsCenter. Well, this is how you plummet your NFL-potential stock: quickly, successfully, and pathetically.

Did everyone know that Jesus is a N.D. fan. Fact: Touch Down Jesus is at the north side of the field in a mural.. I do not know of anything other school who can claim this fact...Also iam not claiming anything about being a catholic. Its just that N.D. foot ball rules...  Not every player on the field is not catholic and the school rules do not require this..... Fact is N.D. rules.... I love my team...

Not really, I don't have a real collegiate alliegence, especially when it comes to football. I am from the area though, and my mom is a dawg and my dad is a coug (WSU) "

I'm more into the NFL (Go Bucs!) but I do like to watch the close matchups in College and will always root for the underdog. Man was that BYU vs. OKLA game intense, have to hand it to that BYU defense defending the endzone in thier own 5 yard line 7 times lol.

Go Gators!!! Hopefully we can repeat. We got a pretty easy schedule by SEC standards.
