On Cosplaying....

To those who will not, could not, and have no interest in cosplaying...

If the most high quality, flawlessly executed costume of your very favourite character appeared before your eyes...

Would you cosplay it, at least for a day?

And if so, what character would have this power over you?




this topic came from me thinking:

No I wouldn't. I do like watching hot girls cosplaying though...proof in my avatar :P

I'd cosplay as a vault dweller. I'd rather say I"m disguising myself not cosplaying. I'd do it for Halloween.

If i'd actually look good in the costume, i'd think about it. The problem is, youd have to go down the list a ways before you'd find a male favorite character of mine. If the costume was of one of my favorite male characters, than sure.

I own a Ghillie suit, so I could probably get away with saying that I was CoD4 cosplaying.

The only thing I'd cosplay as is a true to life size Colossus.

Most of cosplaying is taking on the role of that character. Looking like them is only part of it. I'm a horrible actor, so unless I'm intimately familiar with the character and he is already a total caricature, I wouldn't.

Nope. I dressed as Donatello from TMNT when I was six once, but that's pretty much it. It was a sweet hand made costume though.

I don't think I would. I always hated costumes, I never went to hallowen parties because of this.
But I do enjoy watching cosplayers when they are good. Which is rare.

Oh, I forgot. I dressed up as a black mage for Halloween one year. It's a 16x24 4-color thing, so I got to take liberties with the costume. That was fun.

That said, I did meet my girlfriend-before-this-one at a Halloween party dressed up as Jade.

I could not imagine ever cosplaying. Unless I change a lot in personality, in which I might dress up in something for children. But even then, that is highly unlikely.

Sure, Altair, the Prince, and Cloud all wear badass clothing.

Gordon Freaking Freeman. The bad thing is, there are no conventions of videogames here! So I can't check cosplays or even think about doing it for me.

I find cosplaying a little strange really  considering most costumes I've seen are either badly made or just too good that you wonder if these people have anything else to do. Not that I'm against people who do cosplay but it's just not my cup of tea.

Plus I think costumes are pretty stupid if you're serious about them.

Would the costume give me the physique of the character I'd want to cosplay?  If so, sure.  Hell, I wouldn't mind looking that awesome every day of my life.

Yes, but I like it more when hot asian girls dress up in all those cosplay characters. Thank god.

I always encourage my GF to browse the hangers in my local Anime store. I love it, it's cute and kinky.

Halloween is a holiday for me to be myself.
Cosplay is a way for people to escape there existence and take on that of a well known character.

Not sure but I'm waiting for some ridiculously jacked dude to cosplay as Kratos...or a super-scrawny guy, either way would be hilarious.
