"No. "
Sooo......Anyone gonna watch Avatar?
Avatar you say? Why I've never heard of it. There needs to be some advertising or perhaps some quick looks or exclusive peeks at this film to get the word out. Maybe some tv programs could be sponsored by said film and provide such things.

Fuck Avatar just for this reason. I hope it bombs, and bombs bad.
Day 1 in IMAX driving and an hour and a half to get there, Its James Fucking Cameron He made Terminator 2 and Alien(s) he is a legend I really don't understand all the hate towards a movie with his name on it I just assumed everyone would shut up and see the movie but apparently the whole movie
is James trying to make us all into furries....
Yes. Despite not knowing too much about it (and I'd like to keep it that way for the best experience) the hype will inevitably do me in.

Ok so we have confirmed that James Cameron is a furry, whats the plan?
Absolutely.
I saw the free Avatar Day Preview in IMAX 3D and i was amazed. i'll go for the visuals alone but will stay for the cool story and characters- which Cameron never failed to deliver on.
I'm gonna see it. Expecting not to like it. Actually kinda biased against it. But gonna see it anyway...
i dont expect some insane story like D9- more along the lines of Star Trek and his own last film Titanic- movies with simple character driven stories. But its all in the way that the story is told, which is obviously going to be very well done. there is no way this movie will not be totally awesome.
I think someone fucked up his original story when he put it in the his shelve many years ago, some kind of furry lover or something.
Just kidding around, it will probably be pretty decent, but it has many things that make me uninterested, like I really want to know how the dude (If he) betrays the humans. Would you betray your race? I mean, that isn't betraying your country, or town, that's the whole human race. I don't see the Na'vi winning, but generic movie plots and happy endings say so...I hope it isn't generic!
i notice everyone is like, yeah, im gonna go see it, not day one or anything yada yada.
this movie is going to have some legs and last a while in theaters much like titanic. not saying it will make any near the amount of money titanic did, but yeah.
" @DOUBLESHOCK said:At least Terminator & Terminator 2 played with the theories of time paradoxes." but the story sounds so mediocre... So that guy becomes a blue guy to spy on the other blues, but then he discovers the blues aren't as bad as he was led to believe, and so he joins them and helps fight the humans. Then you will see a lot of big budget cgi and long drawn out action scenes to fill in for lack of story. "You mean, just like how Terminator 2 was about a guy who goes back in time to stop another guy who went back in time from killing a kid that becomes a revolutionary in the future? ALL of Cameron's movies are stereotypical. He just does stereotypical REALLY FUCKING GOOD! "
I will probably watch this movie when it hits HBO in a year, but I'm not going to pay ridiculous theatre prices to go see a movie I'm not entirely (or even remotely) convinced will be good.
