How do you feel about your time in Middle School/ Junior High? Until recently, I was not aware that a lot of people did not enjoy their time there.
Personally, I would consider Junior High a high point in my life. Not to say that I think that Junior High was the best time of my life or anything, but I really enjoyed it, and would even go as far as to say that I would not mind going back in time and reliving it, especially with all the knowledge I've gained over the years.
What about you? What do you think?
What do you think of your time in Junior High?
It was Hell on Earth. You're stuck between feeling like a kid and a teenager/adult and it leads to some awkward and irritating moments. Plenty of fights and bullying and all that too. I don't think I was ever as depressed and angry as I was when I was in middle school.
It was great. I managed to straddle that line between having a different personality and different interests but not coming off as weird and consequently got along with most people. Fun times. Come to think of it I never really did have any problems at any point in my education really.
Was one of the lower points in my life. I basically just went and did what I had to do. I went to a small private school, but still managed to get picked on (yet somehow everyone still wanted to be my friend when a group project or test was involved...curious). Anyway, I won't say it was traumatic or anything, and I was never faced with violence, but I was small at the time (I grew something like 6 inches in 8th-9th grade) and words may not break my bones, but they do hurt me. On the inside.
Middle school was so much fun, Im probably enjoying it more than High School right now because everyones busy
Yo-Yo's, extremely baggy corduroy pants, beepers, cassettes and ridiculous hair styles that used way to much gel, what wasn't there to like.
It was just confusing and weird...
Elementary and High School was awesome though, and College is amazing
I wasted my time in Junior High on fucking video games. Late NES-Mid SNES era, so yeah I was occupied.
I loved it. It's when I became pretty close friends with a lot of the people I'm still best friends with. I went to a K-8 school, so it was nice to finally be the oldest and big man on campus. There were some awkward moments. I got into a fight, had some awkward moments with girls, but all in all I really enjoyed. It prepared me well fro high school, which included even more awkward moments.
I can barely remember it, except for how a group of us would waste P.E. by slowly walking the running course talking about random stuff. Other than that, I can remember bits and pieces of it, but not much. It wasn't horrible or amazing, just "meh". I did make quite a few friends though.
I do recall having to evacuate once (after being in lock down for an hour and a half or so) due to some dude who, I think, shot the dashboard and window of some girls car. Something stupid like that. It was right next to the school, cops were all over, and I'm pretty sure I remember someone mooning the Camera from some News station from a bus window as the buses took us to the nearby high school. I think they got the dude to surrender after a stand-off a few hours later.
It seems like a real waste of time where you don't get anything useful done. It's like a gap year. Going straight from primary school to high school makes more sense. The only memory I have from that time is being voted as class president (or councillor as they called it in my school) and then not actually doing anything.
Started out terrible and only got worse, all the way up to my last year at high school.
The only good memories I have are playing video games, learning about video games on gamespot (back when giant bomb crew were there), and trying to make video games.
Thankfully university is great and giant bomb crew are still around.

@the_OFFICIAL_jAPanese_teaBAG: just wait until you're done with school
I thought it was all right. Certainly better than my time in high school, when I was addicted to PSO.
I never went to high-school. I was sitting there all warm and snug, literally had my entire life before my eyes. I was so excited and anxious for the world and to see mommy and daddy. But you see, I was aborted; murdered in the fetus. So I never got a chance to go to high-school. I never got a chance to do anything.
33 million. That's the number of babies aborted daily in the United States. Say "no" to Abortion, and "yes" to the lives of unborn babies today!
Middle school wasn't that bad. High school was pretty great, only it seems I'm just realizing this now when I'm over a year into college.
Actually it was pretty good. I had a huge group of friends who played Warcraft 3 everyday after school. I really miss that now that I only have one friend that I play games on a regular basis with, and I have a feeling that will end soon after we are out of college. I don't exactly miss being that young, though.
